A portal, 9 kilometers wide, 15 kilometers long, and 150 meters tall, starts to form. The United State Liberation Coast Guard starts investigating immediately. While the United States Coast Guard (in our timeline but during early 1940) investigates on the other side.

"What kind of ships are those? They're bigger than destroyers but smaller than cruisers!" And why does that aircraft have propellers above it?" Captain Shawn Wade of the USCGC Trinity thought to himself.

"Those ships look like they're from the late 1920s, but slightly more advanced. And why are they flying an American flag from the 1930s-40s?" Captain Jack Evans of the USCGC Cutter 50 said to his men. Then captain Evans ordered to "Tell the old ships and their crews about our intentions and that they are entered United State territory"

Captain Shawn Wade saw that the strangely designed ships are flying a flag with sixty green stars in a blue canton, seven white stripes, and 6 red stripes. "Helmsman, have you seen a flag like that?" The captain asked, and the helmsman replied: "No sir, but it does look similar to our flag."

A message from USCGC Cutter 50 was sent via Morse code, it says: "This is the United State Liberation Coast Guard, you are currently trespassing United State territory, stand down, we mean no harm, we are simply investigating this structure that appeared 150 meters east of our coast. But if you decided to attack, we won't hesitate to fight." But the USCGC Trinity replied with: "This is the United States Coast Guard, you are currently trespassing United States territory, we don't mean any harm. Go any further and we will shoot you."

"Signal them that we want to negotiate with them, this is be something that has not happened before. No one will believe it but we may have made contact with a different universe." Captain Evans ordered.

The USCGC Trinity and its fellow cutters the USCGC Coyote, and USCGC Raven received the message, and Captain Shawn and his fellow captains agreed with hesitation. So the USCGC Cutter 50 USCGC Cutter 51 and USCGC Cutter 52 sent five rubber boats to each of the three United States Coast Guard cutters. When one of them reached the Trinity, they immediately told the crew about their situation and they want to talk to their captain.

Captain Wade was told that it was 2055 on the other side of the portal, he didn't believe them until they showed their technologies, while the other sailors from Cutter 50 were shocked to find out that the ships came from 1940 but in their timeline, the United States was not twenty to thirty years ahead of their time simply because the United States didn't want to intervene in any conflicts but the United States of Captain Evans' timeline wants to prevent conflict by technological progress.

"So you're telling me that it's 2055? Nonsense, it's 1940! And the US Navy isn't the strongest nor the largest one in the world, the Royal Navy is! You're telling me that most of Europe is a united nation, China is a communist state and Japan is one of your closest allies? And since when did the Navy have female sailors?" Captain Wade said.

"Yes sir, everything we said is real." Petty Officer First Class Jana Freeman replied. "The military started to accept female recruits and officers in the 1970s." She adds. And then one of her fellow sailors, Seaman Edward Harrison shows him a rifle, it seems weird to the Captain because it has a pistol grip, 20-inch barrel, 30 round magazine, a suppressor, it has the magazine behind the grip, it looks like a Vepr, F2000, Tavor, and AUG assault rifles combined, but has charging handles at both sides a selector like that of the M16, and it's chambered in 7×51mm (AKA, 6.8×51), which is odd because it is "less lethal compared to the .30-06 round and is measured in metric".
