[Canceled] A Nation Makes Contact With Two Worlds

Chapter 2: A Captured General | Part 1

(General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus' Point of View)

"Hey, you! Wake up!" A deep voice says to me and then I noticed that I'm chained to a chair.

"Who are you and where did you come from?" I replied.

"That information is secret, we cannot let you know who I am, but I bet you know where did we come from. But that's unnecessary." The voice says to me but I replied with: "What do you mean it's unnecessary?"

"That's not important. We will ask you questions and you will answer them, do you understand?"

"Fine!"

"Who are you?"

"I am General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus from the Thaparean Empire. I was sent by the Emperor Mettius Numitorius Verus to conquer another world, but as I was ordered to attack, the war is lost."

"What is this Thaparean Empire where you came from?"

"The Thaparean Empire or the Empire of Thaparea is the strongest in the world called Stroidor, it has a military consisting of 35 legions of infantry, 25 legions of regular cavalry, 20 legions of horse archers, 15 legions of archers, 1900 pegasuses, and 1800 wyverns. I was sent with two legions of infantry, ⅖ of a horse archer legion, ⅕ of a regular cavalry legion, and 50 wyverns."

"Your empire's units remind me of other empires that existed in this world, but that's not important."

"What else do you want from me?"

"We want your cooperation, we want to know more about your world."

"If that's the case, then yes, back when I saw that I'm losing the battle, I decided to surrender, no defect to whoever defeated us."

"So you want to defect to us?"

"So you're the one who defeated us...yes. I'll defect."

"Just wait for a few moments, I'll do something."

"What is it?" I asked

"That's not important." The deep voice said.

(Third person point of view)

The interrogator turns off the microphone and contacts the headquarters.

He told HQ if he's allowed to show the might of the US Liberation Armed Forces through videos. He wanted to show the general how strong they are. He also asked for permission to say what is the nation's name that the invaders attacked.

HQ told the interrogator that he can only show the US military strength from the 1980s or before. He can also tell the name of the nation that they attacked. The interrogator agreed to the HQ's decision.

He turns on the microphone again.

(General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus' point of view)

"I'm done with what I've been doing. Let me show you something." The deep voice said again.

I saw a box with moving pictures, what do they use these for?

"What is it?"

"You will see."

I saw large metal islands the size of castles moving at a high speed, it has many flags hoisted, but one stands out.
They carry people and metal objects. Then suddenly, I saw the metal objects move and fly like an eagle.

I saw a large metal flying object, but it looks like a giant dragonfly, doesn't flap its wings, and has strange markings.
I saw a city, it is the size of the empire's capital, Thaparea. And then an object, twice the size of a tortoise fall from the sky, and then it exploded.

"That is just a fraction of our full strength more than half a century ago, we are far more powerful than a century ago, that empire will be more fortunate if the portal opened a century ago, but it opened now, that empire is a mouse that awoken the sleeping eagle." The voice said

"Is that sleeping eagle your land?" I asked.

"Yes"
