Chapter 2: The Uninformed Empire & The Angry Americas | Part 2

Authors Note: The Geography of my fictional worlds (fictional Earth or not) will have the same geography as the real-life Earth.

Location: The Imperial Senate Building, City of Thaparea, Thaparean Empire.

Date: 9/7/2055 (local date)

Time: 0847 (local time)

The empire has not yet been informed of General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus' actions as no message or rumor from him and his actions have reached the empire. He is unknowingly defeated by the Americans due to the Empire's stupidity.

"We must know what happened to General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus, there hasn't been a rumor about him, his actions, or the army that we told him to command! Has he gone rogue!?" Senator Aurelius Albius Floridus shouted.

"If he went rogue, he would have disobeyed the orders to attack the other side of the Gate! By our pieces of evidence, he followed the orders of His Imperial Majesty! This means that he is loyal!" Said Senator Seppius Sertorius Martinus.

"Everyone, this is not a time to argue, we need to do something about his recent inactivity at once." The Emperor said. "Do you think we should send another army or just send a few scouts?" He adds even further.

"I think we should send another army, but it must be a new one."

"The army just had another legion, the 35th, we should send it since the legionaries are inexperienced and I'm sure they are just some weak opponents." General Tiberius Fulvius Saxo Said.

"You are arrogant! We don't even know what the enemy looks like and how they fight!" Senator Aurelius shouted.

"I've made my decision, sent the 35th Legion to the other side of the gate and figure out what happened to General Novius Lafrenius Sextianus but tell them to only fight defensively." The Emperor says.

"Hail to the Empire!" The senators and the generals said.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United State of the Freed Americans

Time: 0810

News spread to the American people that two portals opened, one in the Sonoran Desert and another one 100 Kilometers east of Cape Canaveral.

Time: 0915

President Lucas is preparing to make a speech to the American people about the two portals, he does not have a script as he hates doing scripted speeches, but his speeches do sound scripted.

"My fellow Free Americans, I am here to tell you something that you will never believe, we have just been invaded by another nation from another world through a portal, yes, you heard me, another world through a portal. We found out that the one who ordered the invasion is the emperor of an unknown nation, the Thaparean Empire. We don't know what this universe is, it may even be a copy of our own made by a supernatural being but with major differences, and there's another one in Cape Canaveral which leads to another universe. It looks like our world, with a difference, we aren't ahead of our time there. I will send diplomatic efforts to Portal Number 1, the one east of Cape Canaveral, while Portal Number 2, the one in Arizona, will be guarded by the national guard and the Army. We will fight our invaders by ourselves, with no assistance from our allies, we will fight this war that they started and punish their leader like what the Filipinos did to the leader of the Communist Party of the Philippines in 2030! MAY THE STARS AND STRIPES WAVE FOREVER!" He said the final sentence of his speech with anger and hate toward the Thapareans.

The Americans watching the president's speech shouted "MAY THE STARS AND STRIPES WAVE FOREVER!", "Hail to the Chief!", "Hail to the One we selected as Commander!", and "Long live the Americas!" not with pride, but with anger.
