Wednesday, Liverpool, Chas' house

"You've gotten better," Nerissa examined Geraldine's drawings; the little girl beamed at the praise.

"Thank you," Geraldine smiled widely before running to her room and yelling, "I got some more, wait!"

"We should really get going," John walked back into the living room carefully avoiding Renée's deadly glare.

"Yes, you should," Renée stood up and crossed her arms around her chest.

"Renée, come on, we talked about this," Chas almost begged his wife, "please just let Geraldine show her the rest of the drawings."

"Fine, but I want him gone yesterday," Renée glared at John and went after her daughter, undoubtedly to tell the little girl to hurry up.

"She really does hate you, huh?" Nerissa smirked at John.

"You're not far behind," Renée reappeared with Geraldine in tow.

Nerissa really wanted to remind Renée that she was the one who begged her to babysit a few months back when the Chandler family was in London during Nerissa's residency, which in retrospect does seem oddly convenient, but she didn't. At the time Renée had no idea that Nerissa was one of the 'freaks' in John's circle. Nerissa welcomed back the little girl and took the stack of papers from her.

"Now here, you should work a little bit more on your shading, like this," Nerissa took one of the B pencils and showed Geraldine how to shade a certain piece of the drawing.

"You're so good," Geraldine sighed lovingly, "I want to be just like you."

"Well, there's only one of me and one of you, and you're going to be the best you possible, which is way cooler," Nerissa ruffled Geraldine's hair.

"Yeah, yeah, but I want to draw like you," Geraldine sighed again.

"You have to practice, you've already got the talent you just need to practice as much as you can," Nerissa saw John fidgeting again, it really was time to go, "I have to go now, but I'll visit again when I can, it'll give you time to practice."

"YES! YES!" Geraldine fist pumped the air in excitement, "please come again soon!"

"I promise, I'll try my best," Nerissa smiled and stood up to leave.

Meanwhile, Gotham, Jason Blood's house

"This is not good," Madame Xanadu said.

"I agree, but we do not have much of a choice, now do we?" Jason Blood stared at where he knew the Swamp Thing was hiding.

"Jones doesn't remember," the Swamp Thing growled, "the bat however, is becoming more and more suspicious."

"Something is not right about this whole situation," Jason Blood continued, "the bat's suspicions are by far the only normal thing here. I'm surprised he hasn't been more suspicious before."

"What do you mean?" The Swamp Thing asked.

"Hell has been too quiet, Etrigan took back the incubus and made an example of it, but hell is never this quiet," Jason explained, "demons love their quests for revenge, so where are they? Why have they not swarmed this city looking for her yet? The incubus might've been that, a mere incubus, but all the realms, and all 7 circles have yet to answer to this offence. Something is not right and I can't figure this out. We are running out of time."
