"the one that got away..."
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" THE ENTIRE DUNPHY FAMILY ALONG WITH MANNY EXCLAIMED. Gloria had the very bright idea to surprise Jay for his birthday by taking him to Hawaii along with the rest of the family. And Amelia was glad that Gloria had this very bright idea.
Jay was visibly surprised, shocked, if you will. "What? What the heck?" He said as all the kids gave him a hug. "Surprise dad," Claire said. "The whole family's coming with us," Gloria revealed.
"They are?" Jay asked rhetorically in an extremely high volume. "Yes. And Mitch and Cameron and lily, too," Gloria told him. "Yeah, and Phil he's just checking the bags."
"Wow that's...uh," Jay struggled to find good words but failed miserably. "Wow." "Well it was Gloria's idea she bought all our tickets and everything," Claire informed her father. "Everyone's?" Jay asked looking toward his wife.
"Its you birthday. I didn't spare any expense," Gloria said, slapping Jay's arm playfully. "Oh gee." Jay stood up from the airport seat. "Thank you honey."
He put an arm around her shoulder bringing her closer. "Are they all going to be up with us in first class?" "Ay no, silly goat. You think I'm made of money?" Gloria shrugged him off.

Amelia sat beside Haley and Alex getting bored out of her mind at the airport.
"Hey check out that cute guy," Haley said turning both Alex and Amelia's attention to where the oldest of the three was looking at.
"He's out of you league," Alex commented looking at the guy sitting a few feet away from the girls. "Yeah, and he actually looks..." Amelia pretended to think for a moment before completing her sentence. "...good."
"I know," Haley said either too mesmerised by the guy or as usual ignoring what her sisters had said.
Amelia rolled her eyes and walked toward the rest of her family once she saw that Cam along with Lily was there. She loved her uncle and she loved drama and where there is Cam, drama usually followed, or rather he created it but it was basically the same thing. And right now, she needed drama so she would fall asleep.
"Oh, he drove Mitchell to get his wallet," Amelia heard Cam say as she joined the adults. "What?" Claire said slightly taken aback. "He said he's going to make it back in time but I think it's gonna be close." And so Amelia was proven right. Her mother had a phobia of flying and Phil promised to be by her side.
"So he left me here."

"You got a playdate with THE JASPER?" Amelia asked Cam after he told her about his morning. "Yea. How do you know about him?" "Alana's aunt just had a daughter and all she can talk about is Jasper. He's like the cool kid," Amelia told Cam as they strolled around the airport. Amelia snapped her fingers in front of Lily's face. Cam was trying to keep Lily awake until the flight so she as well as others could peacefully enjoy their flight.
"Alana. I haven't heard about her in a long time. How is she?" Cam inquired. "I- I dont know. I have not talked to her in a while," Amelia lied.
FOUR HOURS AGO...
"He. Is. So. Cute," Alana's voce said through the Amelia's phone. "Yea. I know. You've said that a billion times," Amelia said to her friend who had been obsessing over a boy for the last few days. The girl had been sitting in the bathroom for she didn't know how long but she was about to.
"Get out! You have been in there forever!" Haley said banging the bathroom. Amelia shook her head. "I'll talk to you later." She looked at the time on her cell and her eyes widened in shock. It was morning! She had forgotten to sleep!
Cam nodded at Amelia's answer when she spotted her mother and brother. "Oh look! Its mom," Amelia told Cam as they walked toward the two. "Oh, does somebody get a little motion sickness?" Cam asked. Amelia scoffed at Cam's understatement. "A little?"
Cam clapped loudly so that it would wake up a sleeping. "I throw up all the time," Luke said as if it were something her was proud of. "Yea well then Dramamine's the way to go." He clapped again causing Claire to question him.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm just trying to keep her awake so she'll sleep on the plane."
"Dramamine. Oh! i wished I had that the last time I flew. I'll tell you the plane was rocking up and down, back and forth. I thought the wings were gonna snap off," Cam told Claire who was trying to open the Dramamine packet. "Okay you do it yourself. Use your teeth," Claire said handing the packet to Luke and abruptly walking away.
"What happened? Did I say something?"
"Nah. It's just airports you know?" Amelia said with a smirk.

Amelia saw Hayley and Alex peering over a wall and Amelia decided to go join them. "Boo!" Both of them gasped but relaxed when they saw it was only Amelia. The brunette decided to join her sisters.
"So what are we looking at?"
She looked in the direction where they were looking and spotted the cute book boy from before. "Oooo book guy." "He's perfect. Look at him getting coffee and not putting any chocolate in it he's so mature," Haley said her eyes following the boy as he walked away. "Your sense of maturity intrigues me," Amelia said, her eyes too fixated on the boy.
"What about Dylan?" Alex asked her sister. "Dylan's no that guy."

"Look at him. He's sketching," Haley said. The three girls who had developed an interest in the book guy. "He's like Leonardo DiCaprio in 'Titanic'. I bet he goes to art school."
"Do you think he's sketching us?" Alex said causing Amelia to scoff. "The only thing worth sketching is me," Amelia said flipping her hair back. Alex rolled her eyes.
Just then the boy looked at them and smiled and the three of them smiled back. "And contact." Haley's message tone sounded and she fumbled through her purse and found it. She check from whom the message was from. "It's Dylan. 'I'm trapped.' What a drama queen," Haley said keeping the phone back in her purse and looking back at the boy.

AMELIA, HALEY & ALEX!
"So Haley went up to the guy," Amelia started, looking comically at the girl who sat in the middle. "Care to tell what happened?"
"Shut up."
"He was fourteen!" Alex and Amelia burst out laughing. "He's so mature," Amelia mocked her older sister. "He's my soulmate," Alex ridiculed Haley between laughs. Haley continued to give pained looks.

They were finally boarding and Haley was going to be stuck between Alex and Amelia for a long time. "Oh, hey there's another hottie for you at five o' clock," Alex said motioning to the four-year-old coloring near them. "Oh, look at him draw. Wow! He's like Leonardo DiCaprio from Titanic," Amelia joked and Haley rolled her eyes. She had to tolerate this for the rest of the flight and possibly the rest of the trip.
