6. Cookies And Cream Flavour

It was loud. The sound of the birds chirpping. I opened my eyes and was immediately blinded by the sun blaring through the cracks in the curtains.

I hazily scanned the room around me, suddenly I realized where I was.
I was naked in the bed of a man I've barely known for a night.

I've gotta get out of here before he wakes up. What's the time?

I looked over to my side. He was gone already. I turned my head to the clock that had been hanging on the wall. It was already half past 10!

I heard noise coming from what I presumed to be the kitchen. I hoped out from under the sheets of Shoutas bed. I slipped on my underwear and one of Shoutas shirts. Surely he wouldn't mind, I just couldn't be bothered wearing a dress.

Following the noise that got me out of bed, I found the man from last night at the counter of his kitchen with two cups of coffee.

"Oh, you're awake. That's good." Shouta looked up at me with practically no emotion.

"Uhh yea, I uhm, I should be going- I-I'm sorry for being here so late. I-"
"Surely you'll stay for coffee, right?" He almost seemed sad that I was going.

My face blushed red. I could feel it on my cheeks. "Ok" that was simply put, I think I might have been a little more excited about it then that.

Shouta pointed to a seat infront of him with his hand. Probably wanting me to sit. So, ofcourse, I did. He slid a mug towards me. "Thank you."

He made a quiet noise acknowledging my thanks. He picked up his cup and hesitantly started walking around the counter to sit next to me.

We sat there in silence for a little bit before someone finally spoke up.
"So you got any plans today (Y/N)?"
"Huh? Oh yea, I'm going grocery shopping. How about you?" I said a little shyly.

"Shopping... yea same. Shopping and washing." The monotone of his voice complemented him so well.

"Although I've only gotta get a couple things. Like coffee and some fruit." He added.

"Is that so? I defintely picked you for a coffee drinker." A laugh accomponied my wee joke.

"Yea well I didn't pick you as someone that liked older men."
"Well generally I do. You're not that old anyways." I made an mhpft noise.

"I may not be that old but you're not that old either." He laughed at himself quietly.
" I'm 22 dork!"
"And I'm 31. Still older than you, that's for sure."

We continued chatting and bantering for awhile until I had to leave. I didn't particularly want to leave, but I had stuff to do.

We said our goodbyes and I was on my way.

I was finally home. I dropped my shoes and walked over to my bed and plopped down. It felt good to be in a familiar place.

"What do I need to do today?" I said aloud to myself.
"I need to shower. And then do the shopping. And my washing. I'll do my washing later." I rambled on to myself about what and when I needed to do things.

I got up and took a shower. Getting dressed into jeans and a tank top with a baggy hoodie over top. I quickly ate and left to go shopping.

I drove to the supermarket about 30 minutes from where I lived. They have really good deals here so I put in the extra effort to come here instead of the one closer to my house.

I went and bought my usual things. Fruits and veges, bread, butter, milk, soap and toilet paper. All the mundane stuff.

I wondered around looking for items and grabbing things off the shelves, checking the time occasionally.

While walking around I went past the chocolate and lollies section. And there it was. My favourite flavour pocky. Cookies and cream. They never seem to have them around here. Either that or I'm blind.

There was only one packet left. I'm glad I got it before someone else did.

I reached in to grab hold of the packet of pocky, when I saw that my hand wasn't the only hand on the packet.

I retracted my hand quickly. "Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" My words spoken fast. I hadn't looked up once. But one I finally did, I was surprised to be face to face with someone I knew.

Someone I had only met once.

Shouta Aizawa

The surprise of his presence showed clearly on my face. How- no, why is he here?

"Oh (Y/N), you do your shopping here too?" Too? There's no way. He lives like half an hour away from here. And there's like 4 supermarkets near his place.

"Yea, the prices here are really good. But uhh, why are you here? You live 30 minutes away from here."
A nervous sounding laugh escaped his lips.

"Actually I come here for the same reason. The prices are good. The prices at the shops by my apartment are really high. And they have the coffee I like here for super cheap." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Uh-oh yea right here you go!" I said frantically reaching for the pocky I so desperately wanted and handing it to the man standing oh so close to me.

He waved a hand at me and looked away. "You can have it. It's not in stock very often so I'll let you take it."

A light shade of pink crossed my face.
"A-are you sure about that? Like you said it's not here very often."
"Yea it's fine. You take it."

He was being so kind to me for absolutely no reason. People like that always seem to get taken advantage of or treated like shit. Maybe that's why he doesn't always tend to show how kind he actually is. Well from my experiences with him so far.

"Let's split it" the words came faster than I could stop them. "Split it aye? I'll pay for it then." I could have sworn a small smile flashed over his mouth.

"Oh you don't have to-"
"Don't do that."
"Alright then, Shouta."

Shouta followed me around the store. Sometimes making comments on certain items in the store. It was mostly quiet but occasionally someone would strike conversation.

I payed for my groceries and he helped me pack everything into the back of my car.

"So where are you headed? Home I suppose." I closed the trunk and then looked up at Shouta.

"Yea I'm gonna zip home put everything inside and then go to the park for a walk. You know the one with the ponds and ducks?" I responded.

"Oh yea I think I know the one. Can I come?" He lifted his shirt to cover his mouth and with his other hand rubbed the back of his shoulders and neck. He looked away shyly.

Was I seriously blushing at a question like that? Why was I blushing at something as simple as asking to accompany me at the park..?

"Uh- uhm y-yea. Why not. It couldn't hurt."
"Good" He put simply.

We hoped in my car, on the way back to my place we discussed all sorts of little things. Like how he walked to the shop and how both our favourite flavour pocky was cookies and cream.

I think I'm glad I get to share this packet with him. I'm glad it was him I ran into.

A/N: Pretty exciting. I can't believe we actually ran into Shouta at the store. I wonder what's gonna happen next.
