7. A Game Of Pocky

"Thank you"
"You're welcome (Y/N)"

We walked out of my place after packing away all of my groceries.

"So where's this park?" Shouta asked waving the packet of pocky in the air.

"It's about ten minutes away from here."
"Oh alright. That's not too far."

The sky's were blue with barely any clouds. The sun felt warm on my skin.
I shuffled around trying to take my hoodie off. Shoutas eyes tracing me as the hoodie was over my face.

"What are you looking at?" The hoodie now over my head, and looking directly at him.

"You" He said bluntly. He didn't seem to care that I caught him staring.

"Now that you're not wearing that baggy jacket, I can see your true beauty through that tank top of yours."

Heat rushed to my face once again, leaving me feeling vulnerable to the man infront of me.

"Please." I scoffed, sarcasm obviously tracing my voice.

"It's true. You are beautiful"
Shouta stopped where he was, making me stop aswell. I looked up at him a little confused. He grabbed my hips and pulled me in. He kissed my neck.

Feelings his breath on my skin made me feel hot. He slowly kissed up my neck and then kissed my lips gently.
The gentleness he brought turned rough. The kiss we shared intensifying.
I begun to feel hot.

Shouta pulled away and looked at me for a solid second. He let go of my hips, he continued walking, leaving me hazed and a little upset.

Why would he do that and then just keep walking without a word like that? How rude.

I stood there for a moment before speedily walking to catch up to Shouta.
We walked in a shy silence until we got to the park.

There were tons of birds. They were flying about in the sky and within the branches of the trees. The grass seemed to go on forever.

It was quiet. Not a lot of people tend to come to this part of the park. Which seems silly considering this is the most incredible part, in my opinion anyway.

"This is the most beautiful part of this place, have you ever been here?"

"Yea actually, this is one of my favourite places to go on walks. There usually aren't many people so it's quiet."

"Really? This is my favourite place to go too! I didn't know you liked this place Shouta. It's so far away from your house though."

"It is, but it's worth it, getting to see this amazing view. Wouldn't you think?" His words were as clear as crystal.

I grabbed his hand and started walking somewhere fast.

"Come sit." I said pointing to a tree not too far from where we were. It was this big tree, next to one of the ponds.

I sat down leaning against the tree and patted the ground next to me, telling Shouta to come sit down with me.

Shouta sluggishly moved to come sit with me. He passed the box of cookies and cream pocky to me. "Thank you good sir." I said with a silly nod

Shouta laughed the smallest bit.
I opened the packet of pocky and grabbed one out of the box.

I pointed the open box towards Shouta. He picked two from the bunch.
"I feel like I havent had one of these in forever."
"Yea same. It's defintely been awhile."

I had finished my first stick of pocky. I went to grab another when Shouta placed one of his between my lips.

"Oh, thanks Shouta"
"You're welcome" His voice had hinted with a sly tone.

I could have sworn I said I wanted to get pay back from earlier. And this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

"Hey Shouta?"
He hummed in response.
"Do you wanna play a game?"
He looked up at me this time. "What do you mean by a game?" I could tell he knew where I was going with this.

I leaned in closer to Shoutas face and placed a stick of pocky inbetween my teeth. "I mean, a game." I said a little too seductively for being out in complete public.

"You're insane." Shouta turned his face to the other direction.
"Oh come on Shouta, please"
"I- fine." Shouta turned back to me with a tint of pink brushing his face.

I leaned in closer to Shouta. He hesitantly opened his mouth, placing just the end between his lips.

We began chewing away slowly at either end of the single stick of cookies and cream flavoured pocky.

The crunching of the stick between us continued, our faces getting closer.

"Better not pull out now Shouta."
I blushed realizing the words I had just mummbled. Shouta on the other hand, laughed as much he could with the pocky in his mouth.

"Don't worry I'm not backing out now" He hummed to his own words.

Our game got more and more intense as we got closer to eachother. Neither of us wanted to lose.

I could feel his breath. And I'm sure he could feel mine.

We were mere millimeters away from eachother. And then, just like that, the game had ended.

It was a draw.

Our lips collided around the stick of pocky in our mouths. We both kept our promise and never let go. Our lips still connected and our kiss continuing into a hungier battle.

I pulled away the same he had just before.

"That was a tie. Another game?"
"What the hell? I was enjoying that."
"What? Do you really want me that bad?" I said jokingly.
"And what if I do?"

A look of surprise ran across my face briefly.
"Then don't tease me in public like that" I giggled at myself. You could see all the thoughts of what I could be possibly talking about running through his head, before it finally hit him.

"Oh that? I was just testing your patience."
"My patience? What does that mea-"
I realized what he meant.
"You wanted to come back to my place with me, didn't you"

"Well I mean... since you also liked cookies and cream, I kinda thought you were an oreo, because I wanna split you apart and eat what's inbetween." The slyest and probably dirtiest look invaded his face.

He chuckled, probably at the expression I portrayed. "I was joking"

God I wish you weren't

"Unless you don't want me to be joking"

I most definitely don't want you to be joking.

"Let's play another game." Those were the only words that were acceptable to come out of my mouth at the current place we happened to be.

"So I suppose that's a yes" He said leaning in closer and latching on to the other end of the pocky I had placed in my mouth.

What a dickhead. Using such a cheesy pickup line like that. That was barely even a pickup line. Gosh.

I cannot believe I actually fell for something like that. But coming from him. It made that line actually good.

We played a few more intense games of pocky before we headed back to my place. I'm sure you could imagine exactly what soon happened.

Shouta learnt his way around much faster than he needed to.
And I am not, talking strictly about my house.

Did you like that little pickup line I added in there? It was gonna go differently then that, but then I heard that joke and I just had to use it in this chapter.
