My throat is tight and suddenly my mouth has gone completely dry. Of course he is the leader. It's just my fucking luck.
"You are... the leader of the Black Wolves?" I gulp.
"If we are getting technical, I'm the heir to the Black Wolves but that's close enough, seeing as it will be mine soon enough." The wicked smile on his face makes me feel uneasy but surprisingly doesn't scare me. Instead it sends a fire coursing through my bones and I feel heat rising in my cheeks. Still holding the blade to his stomach I take a step closer, making sure not to move the blade. "Leader, heir or goddamn lackey, it doesn't make a difference. I still don't know what file you want. And I have my own problems to deal with."
His eyebrows pull together in thought for a moment. "Let's make a deal, you bring me all the files you have, and I'll make sure that no one bother you or your boyfriend." He points to Trey over my shoulder with his free hand while his other hand remains around my wrist.
"He is just a friend. Not my boyfriend." I blurt out before I can stop myself.
"Is that so? Interesting." His expression doesn't change, but his grip on my wrist tightens ever so slightly. "Do you have the files with you?" He raises one of his blonde eyebrows.
"They aren't on me, but they are close." I respond.
"Perfect!" He claps his hands together, letting go of my wrist, "What are we waiting for then? Let's get going." He inclined his head genteelly but the sly grin on his face was in stark contrast to the gesture, "After you."
Panic instantly grips my stomach and the urge to scream is crawling its way up my throat as he all but drags me toward the door.
"Where are you taking me?" I squeak, desperately trying to hide the panic I feel inside.
"To my place, obviously. Your... friend can come too." He doesn't pause as I yell out Trey's name and Trey starts to bolt toward us just as we go through the gym doors.
"LET HER GO!" Trey roars from behind, bursting out the doors and on to the street. Caden stops, causing me to bump into him, and starts to turn around. Trey's bottom lip is shaking and his fists are clenched by his sides so hard that I see a small trail of blood run over his knuckles.
"Calm down mate. Trust me, you don't want to go there. It won't end well for you." Caden casually warns. He isn't fazed by Trey's threatening tone or by the murderous look in Trey's eyes, he just turns back around and continues to pull me away from the gym. I stopped fighting once I knew where we were going; I don't fully trust Caden... I don't actually trust anyone, not fully anyway. Plus if Caden wanted to kill me I would've been dead by now. Right?... His presence - as nervous and scared as I am - makes me feel some what safe. I can't describe it.
"You go get the files and meet us at my place." He orders Trey as he goes to turn around.
"Like hell I will. Who the fuck do you think you are?" Trey barks back.
I can see Caden's jaw clench and his left eye twitches slightly. He is getting over Trey's shit. "It's fine Trey. Just grab the duffel bag from the car and meet us there. I'll be fine." I blurt out, worried about what Caden will do when his patience runs out. I give Trey a wink and turn around facing Caden once more.
"Let's get this over with" I huff.
"75 Mantra Road. Don't take all day, cupcake." He says to Trey over my shoulder without breaking eye contact with me, then he turns and motions for me to follow him as he starts walking away."Was that really necessary?" I ask.
"No but its fun." he winks.
I start slowing down as we get closer to a steel grey dodge challenger. It has two thick black racing strips down the center and the windows are blacked out to the point it should be illegal. Honestly it is the hottest car I have ever seen. I stop at the passenger door expecting this to be his car. It's one of the last cars in the street so it must be his.
"Over here!" Caden beckons.
He is standing behind a black motor bike with his mouth twisted into a small smirk, making me feel like an idiot. Of course he rides a motorbike. As I come closer I notice that the bike has a red trimming which gives it a slick look. There are letter on the back 'V-ROD'. I've never heard of it, but I have to admit that it is a pretty badass bike. Caden clears his throat, gaining my attention, and tosses me a slick, black helmet. He hops on the bike and a few seconds later the engine roars to life. I follow suit, pushing my helmet on.
"Hang on, princess." He says before flicking his visor down. I tentatively snake my arms around his waist as he takes off.

After ten terrifying minutes we arrive out the front of a hotel and we are met by two men in suits. Calling them huge would be an understatement because both of them were well over 6"5 and looked like they were professional MMA fighters. They both have thick black hair, one man has his hair pulled into a tight man bun and the other has his hair shaved on the side and the rest is slicked backwards. They both have on a black suits and black shirts, so tight that the buttons look as if they are straining to stay done up. The men look so intimidating that my hands start to sweat. I take my helmet off and run my hands through my hair. What have I got myself into?
"Tony! Tanner!" Caden greets the giants with a smile as he gets off the bike.
"Welcome back, boss." Man bun smiles back as he makes his way over to us.
"I see you brought home a friend." The other giants wink at me.
Caden chuckles and gestures toward me, "This is Ember O'Connor. Ember, these are the twins, Ton-"
"It's Reeves. Ember Reeves. Let me guess... Tony and Tanner." I nod in greeting but keep my eyes on Caden. "Let's get this over with."
Man bun let's out a small laugh, and jabs Caden in the ribs, "She seems like a lot of fun."
"You don't even know the half of it, Tan." Caden gives me a wicked smirk, and gestures for me to follow him as he starts to walk into the hotel.
Caden leads me through the lobby of the hotel, to the elevator. There is nothing special about the hotel, no extra security like I imagined there would be and it's not even the nicest hotel in the area. I wonder what made him choose to live here when clearly he could afford something so much nicer.
Caden jams his finger into the penthouse button and we begin to ascend. We reach his floor within 20 seconds and when the doors open I am smacked in the face by the sight before us.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
