When those words leave my mouth I clench my teeth together, stiffen my neck muscles and smack my head straight into his nose. Blood burst from it like a faucet being turned on and he stumbles backwards. Black dots flash in front of my eyes but I blink them away. Bobby yells something, but she is too far away to do anything of harm, so I ignore her and quickly grab the knife from my bra, flick the blade out and cut the zip ties at my feet. I look up to see Bobby less than 2 metres away. I hurl my knife in her direction, before she can even react, it slams into her right shoulder. She cries out in pain, but I am already standing over her. I grab her head and slam it into the concrete floor. I only need to do this once before she goes limp, passing out. I look over to where Trinity and Caden watch me in awe.

"What?" I ask them with a smirk before yanking my knife from Bobby's shoulder and running over to them. I make quick work of cutting the zip ties that are tying Trinity to the chair, but before I can make my way to Caden, I hear Trey get up from his position on the floor.

"You fucking bitch!" Trey roars in anger. He is holding his nose as he starts to stalk towards me. I chuck the knife to Trinity, "Get him out of here," I say, my eyes not leaving Trey.

"Not gonna happen." I hear Trinity say behind me, but I am already following Trey's lead and making my way towards him, my hands up in my natural fighting stance. Trey makes the first move, his fist flying through the air so fast that I barely dodge it. He quickly uses his left hand to jab at my face, I duck under his arm and use my bodyweight to punch him in the ribs. I can hear them crack against my knuckles, but I am too slow to recover, and he brings his knee up into my stomach which knocks the wind out of me. After taking a few blows I somehow manage to block his knee with my hands and shove him roughly away. I dance around, creating some distance so that I can get my breath back, when I hear some commotion come from behind me. I chance a glance behind me, seeing that Bobby had recovered and had a deadly looking Trinity charging toward her at full speed. Bobby is going to die for sure. Trey uses my distraction as an opportunity to come at me with a right hook so that when I turn back to face him, his fist connects with my jaw, sending me crashing to the floor. I shuffle myself backwards, but he doesn't let me get far before he kicks me in the ribs. I am now spread out on the floor. I try to get up, but he pushes me down again with his foot. Trey laughs echoes above me. "You are still so weak. Look at you. Don't worry Babydoll, I am not going to kill you, but I will teach you to respect me."

His words cause images of the day I escaped flood my brain. The elegant dinner Trey had planned for my birthday. Red dress that he had forced me to wear. Spitting the wine in his face when he came to cut up the meat on my plate because he didn't trust me with a knife. The slap I got across the face after and him saying, 'One day you will learn to respect me.' As he walked back to his seat I got up, grabbing the bottle of wine that was on the table and smashed it over his head. He got knocked to the ground and I quickly went through his pockets to find the keys to my ankle chains. I found them, along with his gun. After setting myself free I went to run, gun in hand when I heard him behind me. The rest happened in such a blur that I don't even remember pulling the trigger. All I remember is seeing his body on the ground, blood spilling from his head. I assumed he was dead. Finally.

Now Trey is standing over me, just as he had so many times back then but this time I am not going to give in and I will not back down. I scream in rage and kick my left leg upwards, aiming right for his crotch. He doubles over in pain and stumbles backwards, giving me the perfect opportunity to get up. I reach my hands over my head and push off the ground, flicking my body up, Jackie Chan style, so that I am now in a squatting position. Once Trey recovers, he starts to march towards me with a murderous look in his eyes. I ready myself and when he is close enough, use all the strength I can muster and deliver a roundhouse kick that catches him in the side of head. Trey drops to the floor and in the blink of an eye I am on top of him. I send a flurry of punches at his face which he tries to block by bring his arms up in front of his face, but it is no use. My fists connect with his already broken nose, his cheek bones and mouth until his face is covered in blood.
