Adrien

"Seriously?"

She looked away, staring down at the steps.

"You got angry when I tried to safely throw myself off of a building. Said that it was dangerous and stupid. Well, what you're doing is dangerous and stupid. You passed out. If you had fallen, you could have completely cracked it."

He closed his eyes, rubbing his hand against his forehead. He just wasn't the type to use medicine. It was more about pride than anything. He didn't need or want any help. But he didn't want her to leave either.

"I don't take medicine because I hate how it makes me feel."

She looked over at him, sighing softly.

"It wont hurt as much."

"Please don't go over to Alya's."

"Please take the medicine."

He stared at her, before shifting and pulling the pills from his pocket.

"If I take one, you'll come home with me?"

She nodded, her face turning pink again.

"I won't make any promises about taking any more."

"I know."

He sighed, taking one pill and washing it down with the water Alya had given him.

"Thank you."

He sighed, trying to keep his back straight as it hurt less in that position.

"Thanks for trying to catch me. I half expected you to argue that you weren't out."

"I saw you stumbling." She admitted, and he nodded.

"How long do you think it will be before the acuma is defeated?"

Her shoulders slumped, and he looked away, focusing his attention to picking at the label of the water bottle.

"What if it isn't? What if no one even knows about the acuma, like Alya and Nino didn't know? What if we're stuck here?"

He winced at the thought, shaking his head. They'd get back home. They would see their parents again. He was sure of it.

"We'll get home."

They sat on opposite sides of the couch, staring blankly at the TV screen. It was a rom com, one that Adrien had tuned out ages ago. Mostly because the other Adrien had already seen it, so the memories were still fresh. His mind had drifted to Lila, and their play pretend relationship. He hadn't meant for it to continue for as long as it had, it had originally meant to be a one time thing. But it just kept happening, and he stopped caring. She was a good distraction. But he couldn't distract himself forever.

"This is so cliche. How much you wanna bet that he either stops her from getting on the plane, gets on with her, or runs down the runway and gets tackled by airport security?"

Adrien grinned, turning to look at her. He had already seen this movie. Not him, but the other Adrien. He knew how it ended.

"I'll bet on that. If I win, you have to sit in my lap for the rest of the movie."

"No way you perv."

He snickered, clutching his chest. She really needed to stop doing that.

"Scared because you know I'll win. I bet she gets off the plane. By herself."
