"Hey! Allison, do you think we could maybe meet up for coffee or something?" I asked into the phone.

"Of course, Audrey! I haven't seen you since. Well. Since graduation." She said

"So do you wanna meet at the Starbucks on Addams street?" I asked

"Yeah. I'll meet you in ten?"

"Sure!" I said and hung up

I moved from Braden's grasp on the couch,

"Ahh do you have to leave nowww?" He asked

"Yeah, I have to ask Allison to be my maid of honor."

"But we're just getting to the good part!" He said referring to the movie we were watching "Die Again Tomorrow"

"It's James Bond, it's all good." I winked at him and grabbed my purse and car keys

"I wasn't talking about the movie!" He yelled to me as I exited the apartment

I entered the Starbucks and immediately saw Allison, the blue hair is hard to miss. She was sitting in a booth with two coffees next to her.

"Aww Allison it was my turn to buy!" I sat down across from her and picked up my strawberry latte.

"Well I haven't seen you since June, so it was easy to forget."

"Look I'm sorry I just got caught up with Warped and Braden and the... Well... Pregnancy scare."

"Yeah, I know, and I'm really sorry about James." She said

"It's fine. But I have news!!" I said excitedly

"You're pregnant! No wait! You're engaged and pregnant!" She said

"One of those was right..." She quickly looked down at my left hand and squealed

"Oh my God! Braden proposed?!" She was grinning like a maniac

"Yeah." I giggled

"That ring is just. Ugh. I'm so jealous!" She said suddenly her face went dark "Does your mom know?"

"She's been too drunk to notice my absence this summer." I said

"Oh. What about your dad?"

"Eh." And with that word she dropped the conversation

"So will you be my maid of honor?" I asked

"Duh!" She yelled

"Yayyyy."

"So when's the wedding date?"

"November 1st." I said "We wanted low key. And plus, instead of a bachelorette party, we can just go trick or treating!" I said

"In slutty costumes?" She asked

"Why not?"

"I'm in." She said immediately

"So another question."

"Anything for you Audrey."

"Will you help me pick the dresses?"

"As long as you're not wearing white." She said

"I lost that right the moment I got to Braden's lake cabin." I said

"Ooooooh scandal!"

"Scandal? What scandal?" A voice behind us asked

I turned around to see Natalie Hoff, the bitchiest bitch of them all

"Oh nothing." Allison said

"No really what?" She asked. She pulled a chair up to the table

"I lost my virginity..." I said

"Really? To who?"

"Her fiancé." Allison explained

"Wait you're engaged? No way! To who?"

"Braden Barrie."

"Wasn't he that emo hunk from high school?"

"Yep, that'd be the one..."

"What are you doing with him? I mean I know he took you to prom and all, but you can do better. Does he even have a job?"

"Well I've known him all of my life, and he's an independent musician, we just finished touring with Warped."

"Oh. Nice ring BTW. Show me a pic!"

I pulled out my phone and showed our selfie with the crowd

"Oh... Well it's nice to see you both again. Sorry I was such a bitch in high school, I've changed. Really." But the funniest part was, I actually believed her!

She got up to leave, but I stopped her

"Hey, Natalie?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to go dress shopping with us?"

"Sure!"

The whole time Allison just sat there in shock. We got up to leave and walked accross the street to a bridal boutique.

The three of us entered the shop and were greeted by a woman in her late twenties

"Hello, how may I help you?"

"Um, I'm looking for a wedding dress."

"Ooh! What's your name?" She asked

"Audrey Taylor."

"Kay. Do you have a budget?"

"Four thousand?"

"I think we can work with that." The woman said

She led us into a room with chairs and a pedestal to stand on. She led me into a dressing room and sat me down.

"So tell me about your fiancé."

"My fiancés name is Braden Barrie and I've known him since I was just a baby. We've toured across the country together and we want to be together for the rest of our lives."

"Awwwwww. Do you have anything in mind for your dress?"

"Lace. Lots of lace. Maybe sleeves. White or black. Maybe both..."

"I have just the dress!" She ran out of the room and came back with an amazing dress,

I undressed and she zipped the dress up around my body.

"We are definitely going to have to take this in a couple of sizes, if this is the one."

"What do you mean?" I asked

"This dress is a size 3 and your a 00."

"Oh... Can I show my friends?"

"Of course."

I walked out of the dressing room and their jaws dropped.

"Woah." They said simultaneously

I looked in the mirror and was stunned. This was the dress.

"I'll take it." I said

I wrote the check and got changed. On the way out I caught Natalie

"Hey Natalie?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you be a bridesmaid?"

"Yes! Can you forgive me for everything I did?"

"Of course."
