"Well don't you look slutty!" Allison said referring to my Morticia Addams costume
Braden (or should I say Batman) looked at her funny and laughed
"Trust me if she looked slutty I wouldn't have let her out of the house..." He gripped my waist.
The cool air rested on my shoulders as we waited for Natalie and her girlfriend, Tina (who knew?!) to meet us at the curb. Finally a blue car pulled up next to us and Natalie stepped out dressed like a pirate with her long blond hair tied into dreads.
"Tina couldn't make it." She frowned
"Don't worry, Nat, I'll be your frieeeend!" Allison looped her bare arm in Natalie's.
Allison had dyed her hair yellow, and was dressed like pikachu.
"Come on! Fuck bitches, get candy!" I yelled
Everyone except the mother of a little Elsa laughed. Braden swept me off of my feet and carried me to the first house. We rang the door and an old woman came out with a bowl of candy.
"Trick or treat!" We yelled
"Let me guess." She said "Pirate, yellow blob, batman, and a goth."
"For the most part." Natalie said taking a handful of candy
We thanked her and went to the next couple of houses. We were denied candy at a few houses because we were "too old". We finally reached the end of the street and knocked on the door.
A middle aged woman in sweat pants and a hoodie stepped out. Obviously drunk.
"Trick or treat!" We yelled
"What?" She asked "Audrey?!" I suddenly realized who the woman was... My mother.
"Umm yeah." I said
"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN ALL SUMMER?! I HAVE NOT SEEN YOU SINCE GRADUATION AND THEN YOU JUST DISAPPEAR." She began to scream
"I was under the impression you were too drunk to notice." I said
"And who are these people?" She asked
"This is Natalie, Allison and you remember Braden don't you?" I asked
"Oh yeah that kid who wanted to bang you freshman year." She said
"Umm... I don't know about that, but we're engaged." I said
"To hell you are! No daughter of mine is going to be getting married at eighteen!"
"You can't control her." Allison spoke up
"How dare you talk to me like that?" My mother yelled
"Oh I dare." Allison took a step closer
"Guys, she's not worth it." Natalie led us away from my soon to be hungover mother,
She began to follow us
"Audrey Taylor you better get your ass in that house right now!"
"No." I said
"Audrey Elina Taylor I am your mother and you will treat me with respect!" She screamed
That's when I snapped
"WHAT KIND OF MOTHER GETS SO DRUNK THAT THEY DONT EVEN NOTICE THAT THEIR DAUGHTER IS BEING ABUSED BY THEIR BOYFRIEND?! WHAT KIND OF MOTHER DOES NOT COME TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN THEIR DAUGHTER IS RAPED?! WHAT KIND OF MOTHER NEGLECTS THEIR DAUGHTER FOR SO LONG THAT THEIR DAUGHTER THINKS THEYRE WORTHLESS?! Because that's the kind of mother you are. If you can even be considered a mother." I said walking away tears running down my cheeks.
She didn't follow. She just stood there with a solemn look on her face. Braden followed behind me while Allison and Tina finished trick or treating.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Braden asked snuggling into bed with me,
"I'm fine. It felt amazing to get that out. I just wish she could know how long I cried under the covers after her divorce."
He pulled me closer and began to plant small kisses on my neck moving to my sweet spot. He pulled a moan out of me. He moved his hands to my panties, but before he went any farther I stopped him.
"What's wrong?" He asked
"Can we wait until we're married?" I asked "I want us to be semi traditional."
"Of course. But I'm gonna make up for this on the honeymoon." He said in a sing song voice
