[Nya's parents are coming over and now she has to explain why she's living with her two "best friends"]

Nya rubbed her eyes and yawned as she walked in the kitchen. There was Cole and Jay in the kitchen.

"Okay now just open the eggshell."

"I'm going to burn myself."

"No you will not, just crack the egg open." Jay trying to cook? That's something new. Jay lightly tapped the egg against the counter and Cole pinched the space between his eyes in frustration. "Harder! You're not cracking any eggs like that." Jay almost slams the eggs and quickly drops it in the pan, with the shell and breaking the yolk. Cole groans. "J-just let me cook. Why don't you put the waffles in the toaster, hm?" Jay nodded and walked towards the freezer then noticed Nya standing in the doorway.

"Aw no, you're awake!" Nya raised her eyebrow.

"We wanted to make you breakfast and then wake you up."

"Aw well thank you, but I woke up early on purpose because well uh..." She trailed off a bit, and both boys stared at her waiting for her to finish. "My parents are coming over later today." Cole, in shock, burns himself on the pan and curses.

"What! Today? Why? How are you going to explain why you have two men living with you?"

"I'll...tell them you're my boyfriends?"

"Already? What if they don't react well?" Nya shrugged. She wasn't too worried about it. She didn't live under their roof and didn't really need anything from them. Her parents loved her after all, so it shouldn't really matter.

"Then I guess they won't react well. I don't wanna hide our relationship, not even from my parents." Jay seemed a bit squeamish about the news. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a quick peck. "Hey don't worry about it, okay? If I'm not worried neither should you or Cole be. Right Cole?" Cole turned his head around and nodded. Nya looked down at the pan to see he was slightly trembling. "Aw come on. Not you too. My parents are very nice and understanding and laid back. In fact I don't even think my dad pays attention to most things." Cole turned off the burner and placed the eggs onto a plate next to him.

"I'll try and act calm."

"You'll both be fine! Just dress a little nicer and just be prepared to have a long, long conversation."

Just as Nya finished brushing her hair and wrapping it in a ponytail, a car honked and pulled into their driveway. She can hear Jay winced and shift uncomfortably on the couch. She sighs and walks to the front door and opens it.

"Mom, dad! Over here!" She waved her hand. They were surrounded by other similar looking houses and she had only given the street name to them. Her mom waved excitedly back, her dad rubbing his eyes like he had just woken up.

"Hi sweetie! Don't mind your dad, he slept the entire car ride."

"Not true! I'm wide awake!" he said, trying to hold back a yawn but failing. Cole and Jay walked over to the doorway and stood behind Nya. Both her parents' expressions seemed to shift a bit but they still held their smiles.

"Oh hi Jay! Hi Cole!" Maya waved. They both began walking over to their house.

"Hi Mrs. Smith." They both said in unison, Cole with a chipper tone and Jay a bit hesitant. Cole held the door open for the both of them and they all walked inside.

"It's been so long since we last saw you two. Since when did you all live together?"

"Oh no, it's just me, Jay and Cole. Kai and the rest of the guys have their own houses." Maya seemed to be taken aback a bit, and Jay got increasingly more nervous. "We've been living together for quite awhile. Around two years so far?"

"Ah, I guess rent's a lot cheaper!" Nya laughed, and gentureed to her parents to sit down on the couch.

"Not that we need to make rent cheaper. We just thought a house would be cozier than anything else we could buy."

"You all decided on a place?" Ray finally spoke, since entering.

"Yeah! We all thought it would be big enough to fit all of us. We didn't want a fancy house, y'know? 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen—"

"Two bedrooms? I hope you're not the one sleeping on the couch. No offense to the both of you boys."

"None taken." Cole clarified.

"We have two bedrooms if one of us doesn't wanna sleep all together in one bed." Nya explained. Maya seems more confused.

"Sleep all together?"

"Mhm." Jay finally adds something. Maya looked like she wanted to ask more questions but she just nodded. Ray starred and raised his eyebrow, his expression was unreadable but groggy.

"I'd imagine you sometimes fight over sleeping alone." Ray remarked.

"In the summertime, yeah." Jay laughed a bit, feeling a bit more comfortable that Ray's expression wasn't threatening. "We fight over a lot of things though, not just the beds but we make it work."

"Heh, I can imagine. I only have one wife and we fight over every little thing. Maya likes making my mornings a nightmare."

"Your definition of morning is 11am!"

"If it says' am, it's still morning, meaning I can still stay in bed without being judged."

"If you live alone and don't have a job."

"I don't have a job and I could lock you outside the house. But I won't."

"You act like I can't break down a door."

"That's when your bones won't shatter. One wrong move and they'll turn to dust." Maya smacks his arm. Ray only laughed and shook his head. Nya shifted in her place, a bit concerned. Maya noticed and shook her head.

"We talk like this all the time, don't worry. I'm not leaving your father, he'd die if I left him." Ray scoffed and looked away from her, his ears grew a bit red. Nya sighed in relief a bit.

"At least my dad understands my relationship is romantic."

"Jay, Cole, not be invasive but don't have any girlfriends?" Maya asked.

"But my mom doesn't understand." Nya thought.

"Yeah, uh, we do." Jay chuckled a bit. Ray groaned a bit side-eyed Maya, wondering how long it would take for her to understand.

"Aw, that's so nice to hear. I bet they're very nice, you two are very caring gentlemen."

"Yeah she's very nice," Cole started, "you raise her well." Maya gasped.

"Oh! Nya!" Maya said, in an almost offended tone, "why didn't you tell me you and Cole were dating!"

"Because Jay didn't want me to." Maya went back to being more confused. She sighed, "Mom we're all dating." Still confused, she shrugged.

"Polyamory, darling." Ray spoke. It finally clicked for her.

"Oh! I didn't know—well, Kai did tell me you had a thing for girls too. And how's you really liked this one girl—"

"Mom! Not now!" Nya turned red and covered her ears.

"Oop, sorry!" Maya giggled, covering her mouth. Cole and Jay chucked a bit. "Well, we're happy for the three of you! How long have you three been together?"

"Ehh, well. First me and Jay broke up like a few years back, then Cole came into the picture...about 4 years now, yeah."

"Well, that great honey!" Ray said, almost showing excitement on his face, "Not to be rude or anything but uh, I'm kinda starving."

"Ray! We just ate!" Maya scolded him.

"That was hours ago!" Nya shook her head and nudged Cole to go get the snacks that they prepared beforehand. Jay and Nya just sat through her parents bickering, laughing at their remarks.
