[Jay is still a serpentine from season 1, Cole is a ghost, Nya has a brain cell. Enjoy!]

Finally. After a long day of work, Nya could finally sit down and relax. She had already changed her clothes and cleaned the motor oil from her face. She walked into the living room to see Jay on the couch. He was curled up in a ball, his scaly tail wrapped around him. His thin forked tongue flicked with each snore. She softly laughed and she lightly tugged at his right side of his hood. He spasmed and yawned, his jaw twisting and sketching wider than a humanly possible, unnerving Nya a bit. Jay opened his eyes, still groggy he looked over his side and noticed Nya. He pressed his face into her side and sniffled before closing his eyes.

"It's been cold all day today." he huffed. She laughed, running her finger through his hair, catching a few tangles here and there. "I just slept in all day. I can't do much when it's cold."

"Don't worry about it darling, we understand." It was winter, it doesn't snow where they are now but they'll be moving soon and Nya and Cole worry that the cold might kill him. It seems with each passing year Jay would get weaker and weaker to the cold. Nya thought back to when Jay was first getting used to his cold blooded nature. He once was hanging off the bounty for dear life when the serpentine raided their ship and how he complained his hand ached after being pulled back up by Zane's. He did alway have ice cold hands, go figure he was the master of ice, but Jay couldn't use his hand without wincing in pain for days. She then remembered when Jay had the venom pricked into him, when they first decided they should start dating.

"Our first kiss" she thought, the kiss they had on the roller coaster should've been enough to turn him back to normal, it was enough to help him find his true potential. She remembered feeling like maybe her love wasn't strong enough to help him, she felt silly now for thinking those things. Although it was sort of true, Jay did love her with all his heart and so did she too. There was just something always missing from their relationship they wished they knew about before they broke up for a few years.

"Hey uh, do you guys mind moving?" A muffled voice came from the couch. Nya scooted over, making Jay move with her and a green translucent head popped out. It was Cole, he had been napping on the couch and he went straight through it without even noticing. He smiled, stood up to give Nya a quick kiss. She giggled as he leaned over to Jay and also gave him a kiss before he sat down again, passing through the couch and rested his head against her leg. Cole, he was the one thing missing from their relationship all those years ago. He was just so loving and caring with the both of them, even during his rivalry with Jay. She sometimes wonders that if Cole had been on the roller coaster, would have Jay turned back to normal if they both kissed him? It didn't matter now, that was years ago, and she still loves him the same, with or without scales. Jay began snoring once again and he had flipped over onto his back exposing the lighter coloring of his green-ish skin under his arms and on his chest. They both laughed as Jay tongue began to flick again.

"Fucking weirdo." Cole rasped playfully, giving him another peck on the cheek.

"So are you." Nya smiled and ran her finger through Jay's hair again. He stuck his tongue out at her. Her boyfriends might be both weird, and their relationship could be seen as weird but she wouldn't trade them for the world.
