"you're real fucking bold, you know that right?" michael spat, arms crossed over his shirtless chest.

the man was upset, beyond that, absolutely pissed that the guys would almost blow his cover for the second time now. of course, they didn't know that michael did not tell charlie about his little side endeavours but they should have been more careful nonetheless.

"okay mr. i'm-good-at-running-from-authority, get your head out of your ass and stop thinking about her. your ass is on the line, not hers, she's about as innocent as a fly." luke mumbled, arms flailing with each word spoken.

his words were hushed but quick, they almost made michael's head spin for how hard he was working to keep up with the blondes running mouth.

"a fly?" michael questioned after a few seconds of silence.

"yea. harmless and annoying."

"like you." michael mumbled, calloused hands rubbing at his tired eyes. the wake up call this morning wasn't exactly pleasant and he would do anything to go back to bed for a few hours. when you're on the run and sleeping in your car with another human body, lets just say that sleep is limited.

michael received a smack to the back of his head by none other than ashton, knowing michael wouldn't do shit to him.

"can you shut the fuck up and listen to what we have to say?" he spoke through gritted teeth, the younger man already getting on his nerves.

he forgot how mouthy the red haired man was.

michael just huffed the way a small child would before straightening his back, one hand preoccupied with rubbing the aching spot on the back of his head. "yea," he spoke quietly, "go on."

luke sighed before pulling his phone out, clicking onto his photo gallery before showing michael the various different photos they took while on this morning's run. each photo contained store fronts and various buildings plastered with wanted signs, michaels wanted signs to be exact.

michael knew a few were out, but he wasn't aware just how many were scattered all along the cities surrounding them.

his tired green eyes widened as he took the phone from the blonde, earning a whine of disapproval before mumbling a quiet 'shut up luke'.

his fingers worked at wonderous speeds, clicking and swiping and zooming in on every photo in the blondes camera roll. he paid closer attention to the details of the store fronts themselves, wondering why they all looked so familiar.

that was of course, until the realization dawned upon him like a storm.

"fuck." was all he managed to say before going through the photos a second time around, eyes widening and lips parting as he realized just how fucked he was.

this girl made him lose his focus, made him less careful.

a poster was located at places where him and charlie had already visited.

one poster hung in the same bar where he pushed charlie into taking her first shot, another hung at a hotel they stayed in briefly, another hung right outside the gas station the two stopped at yesterday for snacks and gas.

they were on his ass and he was starting to find it annoying.

"i don't even know how-"

"surveillance videos mike, it's on the news now. wait 'till charlie gets ahold of this news. i wouldn't be surprised if she dropped you on your ass half asleep at the police station herself." calum mumbled, eyes trained to the t.v that briefly spoke about michaels criminal activity.
