Yara was eating her third plate of Chicken Biryani. Faaz's stupid  ‘Scare the Pancake’ mission took a toll on her health. She was still a little bit, like about twenty percent, angry with him.

She was sitting on the head chair of dining table. Faaz and Fazaan were sitting on either side of her with two contrasting facial expressions. Faaz looked like a scared puppy and Fazaan looked like a curious cat.

Fazaan's eyebrows widened a little as he saw Yara mixing some sauce in the Biryani. Now he understood how a food-sophisticated Faaz developed such a weird eating habits.

He tried to hide his irritation and spoke.

“So Yara, what exactly did Faaz do that made you so angry?”

Faaz heard a siren of danger in his mind.

“Zaani Bhai, I was sleeping in the master bedroom, that I got after lots of arguments with him-”

But Faaz cut her off, quite sarcastically.

“After you crying like a baby.”

And smirked.

“Faazi, will you keep quiet or I need to put a lollipop in your mouth?”

Side effects of having a twin brother who is an hour elder than you.

Faaz made a pout and closed his ajar mouth.

“Yara, continue.”Fazaan told.

“So I was sleeping when I heard a cry-”

“Haa! Liar! She sleeps like a dead cat. No chance she heard anything while sleeping.” Faaz again interrupted.

Fazaan glared his way. Seeing him, Yara also glared at her husband. She was taking full advantage of Faaz's fear for his brother.

Faaz huffed a sigh and put a finger on his lips.

“So I was *half-asleep* when I heard a painful cry. I got curious-”

“Like the cat you are.”Again he interrupted.

“Yara, you got curious, next?”Fazaan ignored Faaz and focused on Yara's words.

“I followed the voice and entered the basement. Bilal tried to stop me but I didn't back off. As I walked further I saw Faaz and an injured man. That man looked like he was in pain. I was crying looking at him and passed out when Faaz said he is a mafia.”

After a pause, she continued, her tone light-hearted than before.

“But when I woke up in my room, I got to know it was all just a drama from the sauce on my dress. And rest you know very well.”

Fazaan gently rubbed his knees which still ached due to Yara's legendary broomstick beating session.

Yeah, he knew it very well.

“Now, Faaz, tell her the reason behind this idiotic move. It could have traumatized her if she didn't find out the truth on time.” Fazaan sternly ordered his brother.

“Umm... I did this so that you don't leave me at least for the next five years.”Faaz looked at Yara guiltily and confessed.

“Why?”She was clueless as to what exactly was going on in his mind.

Fazaan interrupted, tired of all this unnecessary suspense when he already knew why Faaz wanted to scare his Pancake.

“Yara, listen, our late father had made a will which says none of us will get our share in the property till the time we don't get married and live with our spouses for at least five years.” He completed.

“Don't mind, but don't you think it's quite stupid to set such absurd condition to get property?”

“Yeah, he was an old school person. It was his way to get us married. Five years is a long period of time to understand your partner. There are chances we don't take divorce later and live a happy marital life. However, it seems quite unrealistic due to our work. C'mon, mafia gets no happy ending.”

“Mafia?”She was a bit, actually very much, shocked to hear this word.

“Kind of a declining mafia, if that makes sense.”

“No, it didn't make sense.”

“Okay, let me make you understand. Just like there is competition and rivalry among companies and brands. In the same way there is rivalry among different mafia organizations as well.”

“Is this a good thing or bad that you are a loser of the mafia world?”

“Money-wise it's a bad thing. However happiness-wise it's a good thing. No one is happy killing for money.”

“Wow! I am actually glad that you are not like the mafia I read in those Wattpad books. You are better.”She smiled, realising the difference between the reality and fiction.

“Wattpad?”Fazaan got confused. Even if he wasn't a social media person, he had no clue about any such app.

“A certain app where girls across the globe waste their time reading unrealistic and cliche love stories.”Faaz interrupted, again.

“It is a very good app.”Yara argued.

“For erotic stuff.”He added.

“For creative stuff.”She defended her beloved Wattpad.

“You call romanticizing mafia creative?” Faaz asked.

“It's fiction. And most of the Wattpad stories are written by teenagers, who are living in their little bubble of fantasy and are unaware of the cruel reality.”

“You both keep fighting, I am going to meet Bilal.”Fazaan stood up to leave before his brain began exploding due to their childish banter.

As he left, the childish couple started a new argument over the topic Wattpad and Mafia.

There was no denying that this time Faaz was on right side.

If this story isn't making any sense to you. Then congratulations, you are a sensible person.

I never intended to make sense, I only wanted to write Faaz and Yara's nonsensical yet cute story.
