I woke up laying in a hospital bed with Min-Gyu petting my head gently.

"Zahra! You're finally awake!" He said excitedly. "You had me so worried."

I looked at him and smiled. "What happened?" One minute I was standing at the reception hall for Da-Won's wedding and next I was waking up in a hospital bed. A nice one if I might add.

"You fainted at the wedding so So-Hyun and I rushed you here." He said with a hint of worry on his face.

"Did they say what was wrong. Perhaps I just got so angry with Madam Kwon, I already wasn't feeling well today." I didn't realize I was feeling that bad until it was too late.

"Zahra. We should talk..." his words trailed off as the doctor came into the room and cut his words short.

"Miss Yoo. Good to see that you are awake. I hope you are feeling a little bit better. We gave you some fluids to help with your dehydration." She said matter-o-factly and kept looking at my chart."

"Thank you doctor. I do feel a bit better." Which was the truth. I felt rehydrated.

"You're gonna need to eat more and make sure it's nutritious. Now that you're pregnant you'll need fuel for all the energy your body is burning. It's not easy to make a baby. It's tiring and can be hard on the body. No alcohol or caffeine. And schedule an appointment with the Obgyn soon so you can check on the fetus. They'll set you up with whatever vitamins you need." It felt like the doctor was talking a mile a minute. A cold shiver went down my spine.

"Doctor. Pregnant you say? How far along am I?" Worry laced my voice.

"Yes Miss Yoo. As I told your husband earlier, you are about 14 weeks along. Still in the beginning which may be why your morning sickness is so serious but I will pass with time." She smiled. "Congratulations to you both and don't forget to schedule your appointments." She bowed and walked out the room, shutting the door behind her.

My head started to hurt. Fourteen weeks. That's just before I met Min-Gyu . Instantly. A strangled "oh god" fell from my lips and the tears flowed. I cried. And I mean like a really good cry. The loud woman cry. You know, the ugly one that involves snot and all the water works. The one where it feels like you have a hot lump in the back of your throat and your voice gets all deep when you try to talk through it. It was a full on break down.

Min-Gyu sprang into action. "Zahra. What's wrong? Does something hurt?" He asked frantically.

I tried to slow down the breathing and calm down. But this was unbelievable. Da-Won had already chosen someone else and married them. He walked away from the relationship with no tie. Only offering to let me remain his mistress. Now here I was carrying his child.

No fault of the child I knew there was a blessing here. It was my fault. I was irresponsible.

I was upset with my irresponsibility. I left the relationship pregnant, so sure that he was going to marry me. I was upset with my ignorance, I had been partying and drinking frequently. I hoped I didn't hurt my baby.
