"addie?" I mumbled into the darkness hoping she would still be awake.

"yeah mer?" she asked as I lay my head on her chest.

"I've never been happier than I am right here right now with you. I never thought happiness was possible for me, I thought I was destined to be dark and twisty forever but you showed me that I could be so much more" I said as she began to play with my hair with one hand and hold me in the other.

"and you taught me that I didn't have to be alone, that there are people who love me" addison chuckled the sound of laughter ringing around her ribcage.

There was a couple minutes silence and I knew she wasn't asleep because her hand was still working its way through my hair. Twirling strands around and around her fingertips.

"marry me?" I asked. I hadn't planned it or even bought a ring but it felt right so I asked anyway.

"yes" she smiled and I sat ontop of her stomach kissing her excitedly.

"we're getting married" she chuckled.

"we are"
