I screwed my eyes up and held onto my trolley. Lily put one of her hands on mine and on the count of three, we ran as fast as we could at the solid brick barrier.

When I opened my eyes, we were standing amidst hundreds of students, some proudly strutting around as seventh years and some creeping around, trying not to be noticed.

I scanned the crowd for the rest of my friends. Lily had found Sev and was giving him a hug. I smiled and waved to him. In all the years I had known him, I still don't think he really likes me...

"Sofiaaaaaaa!" I heard the menacing cry and I screamed a little before two boys jumped at me.

"Oh my God!" I laughed a little and grinned happily at the two of them.

"Hi Remus, Peter" I said, looking around Sirius and James to see the other two boys "nice prefect badge Remus!"

"I could say the same to you!" He told me, looking down at the shiny prefect badge I had pinned on my robes.

"Thank you" I smiled at him. He grinned back and then spotted Tia who he instantly ran over to, Peter following tiredly in his wake.

"How did you get to be a prefect?" James asked me astonished.

"Excuse me?" I said, pretending to be offended "I'm a role model student I think you'll find! I see you both made Quidditch captain - well that doesn't surprise me one bit"

"Nerd" Sirius joked, nudging me gently.

"Sofia, are you sitting with me or them on the train?" Lily wondered over. She and James still didn't really get on and she had taken it to a level where she no longer sat in the same compartment with the boys.

"Baby!" A mass of long brown hair sprinted past many shocked looking faces and threw herself into Sirius' arms.

"It's so good to see you babe!" Sirius hugged her and started kissing her.

James and I stuck our fingers in our mouths and pretended to be sick. Lily looked rather alarmed and went very pale.

James sidled over to Lily. "Evans, how 'bout me and you go for a bit of that?" Lily looked disgusted saying "Piss off Potter".

"Well, I have to go to the prefect meeting and then I'll probably come and find you" I told her loudly, ignoring Sirius. I knew she was too innocent to realise that by being a prefect I would be able to go to the meeting and them switch in between hers and the boys compartments.

Remus and I set off down the train and went into the spacious compartment that was specifically for prefects. I saw Lucius and Narcissa from Slytherin. Remus glared at Lucius as we sat down together. I had never got on with Lucius but the previous year he and Sev had tried to spread the secret that Remus was a werewolf.

A pang of guilt ushered through me as I remembered this as my transformation into a fox had been spotted by him and Sev, still angry with James and Sirius for the prank that almost got him killed, had taken no time in telling him everything. I had already told Remus that I would stop transforming into my animagus this year and let the boys have their fun.

I suddenly realised that the prefects were getting up and leaving. I guessed I had switched off through the meeting. I remembered a droning voice... Whoops.

Remus and I walked quickly up the hall together, looking for where Sirius and James were, we were quick because we wanted to avoid confrontation from Lucius Malfoy who had been getting up slowly causing me and Remus to dash for it.

"Here!" Remus held out his arm to stop me and we slid open to door to reveal the compartment with James, Sirius, Peter, Beth and Tia.

"Hey Sophs!" Tia jumped up and gave me a hug. She had changed a lot from the dreamy girl she used to be, there was only one way to put it - she way hot.
