"Matt and I started off in Ireland. We went to a school a bit like Hogwarts there except it wasn't quite so big and formal. Well, there I met this guy - his name was Alex - and we dated for quite a while. Matt never liked him, must be a twin thing, he sensed something was going to go wrong but I was so head over heals in love with him that I didn't even bother listening to my friends or my brother.
So one day, Alex and I were sat in my room - we each had our own individual room in Ireland you see - and we started fooling around you know, the normal stuff and we started to go further than just kissing. We were back on my bed and my t-shirt was off all of a sudden and it suddenly dawned on me that actually, I wasn't ready for that. Just as he began to unclip my bra I pulled away from him. I tried to explain to him that I just wasn't ready but he got up and stormed off into my little bathroom. I started to put my clothes back on but he angrily came back and used magic to stop me getting away and then - well... Yeah.
That evening, I went straight to Matt and told him everything. He stole some of the muggle pregnancy tests from the school nurse- he didn't realise I'd only need one, and I tested positive. I had to go down to see the nurse and explain everything but while I was in bed my headmaster came in dragging Alex and Matt. Matt had gone and beaten Alex up and seeing as there was a zero tolerance for fighting he got expelled. Alex also got expelled.
I meanwhile, was in the hospital wing, my mum and dad came to see me - they didn't blame me but were upset on my behalf. They encouraged me to get an abortion and so... I did. It all went okay the baby was gone and my mum and dad took me away from school too as Matt could no longer attend there. Seeing as we'd both gotten ourselves into trouble that wasn't necessarily our fault, they decided to give us a new start and we moved to Scotland, that's why we came to Hogwarts - it's not that far from where we live however we are currently moving down to London as it's closer to the station and stuff"Tears had snuck into my eyes and were flowing over my eyelids like waterfall down my cheeks. I sniffed a little and noticed that Lily was also breathing heavily controlling to water trickling off her cheeks. Emily had a sad smiled plastered on her face, clearly trying to remain strong.
I had absolutely nothing I could say to her. There was nothing I could say to make it better. Beautiful Emily, her face the picture of innocence always laughing - you were never expect her to have had to be so strong, that she'd been through so much.
For a few moments, Lily and I sat and held Emily both whispering our apologies and how sorry we felt for her. I don't think it helped in the slightest but I hoped she understood we were there for her.
When we backed away, she had a real smile stuck on her face although her hair was a little stuck all over the place.
"Now. Can we just not talk about this anymore - I actually have an appointment at St. Mungos to have the memory removed over the summer holidays but until then I have to live with it. Let's not dwell on the past though hey! Why, I haven't even held Tia's baby yet!"
I was happy to change the subject as quickly hurried over to take the still baby out her crib. She had been whimpering quietly but as I pulled her close to my chest she was quiet.
"She looks bloody like Remus" Lily commented, leaning over behind and wiggling her fingers in front of Gracie's face.
"True. Her eyes though, her shape is more Tia" Emily added. We all giggled as the little baby snoozed in my arms.
"Does she even have a name yet?" Emily asked "or are we just going with Tia's baby?"
"No no, they had already decided on Grace for a girl although Remus kept calling her Gracie which I think is adorable" I told them.
"That's so cute" the girls sighed until the door was abruptly pushed open.
"Hello, Soph, Sirius has brought you some dinner but he and James had to rush off somewhere with that little Pettigrew kid but he told me to tell you that Flitwick saw him taking the food and said it was okay as long as you ate it in the common room"
"Okay, that's cool - can you give me five minutes?"
I quickly grabbed a washed out pink baby grow from Tia's bag and strapped Gracie into first a nappy (that's a diaper for those who haven't heart of a nappy - that's what we call them in England😂) and then into the cute pink fabric before running down with her tucked in my arms.
I sat with Matt, Emily and Lily in the common room as I munched on a sandwich. Confused, many students walked passed me, staring at the doll like baby lying on my lap. She was asleep, her head resting in the crook of my arm. The fact she was so tiny and her outfit drowned her actually drew some of the attention away from me - it almost looked like I had a small sheet balled up in my lap.
"Sofia...can I hold Grace?" Matt asked me, rising from his armchair a little.
"Of course! I don't think Tia and Remus would have any objection would they?" I laughed.
"We should shrink her baby grow don't you think? She could get herself tangled up in that. It could be dangerous" Matt said, adding a pang of worry to my heart.
"I think she'd be okay but maybe we should, just to be on the safe side" I said to him, jiggling the now stirring girl in my arms.
"Okay. There" he tapped the wand and immediately the loose fabric was much tighter although still comfortable as far as we were aware. However, the flash of silver had clearly distressed Grace and she started balling. Sighing I picked her up against my chest and tried desperately to make her stop.
"Excuse me" a little first year girl came up behind me "whenever my little sister does that my mum feeds her"
"Good plan first year!" I said loudly, clicking my fingers at her "someone give this girl a hug - I'm going to find the baby milk"
I jumped up and walked over to the staircase, a few people were murmuring about the baby and why the hell I had it there but I ignored them until I got half way up the stairs to the girls and boys intercepts for dormitories.
"What the! Sofia did you have a baby?" At first I thought it was Matt talking but upon turning around I saw it was actually Ciaran Finnigan.
"Yeah I did. You got a problem?" I said, trying not to laugh. My humour is bloody hilarious.
"Ermmm... Well no, but I didn't even realise you were pregnant... How did Sirius react?" He asked, stumbling his words over the awkwardness.
"He's not too pleased, I don't know how he'll be able to look after h-" I burst out laughing and damned the fact I spent ninety nine percent of my day laughing.
"She's Tia and Remus' - I am just taking care of her until T gets out of hospital!" I told him.
"Oh! Well that's great! I was going to say, I honestly cannot see Sirius as a father! I mean can you imagine? He'd probably forget he even had a child!" Ciaran said, grinning.
I frowned however "thank you. You hardly know Sirius - I'm sure he'd be a great parent" I said, a little angrily.
Ciaran just stood blushed again so I pushed furiously past him and marched quickly up the staircase, Grace still wailing in my arms...
