Why did you help me?

Denki wondered this while walking to the dorm building with Shinso.

"Da- Mr.Aizawa told me to take you to the dorms once you were out of the infirmary" Shinso told him.

"Wait why?" Denki asked confused.

"Kaminari" shinso said, raising an eyebrow at him, "why do you think."

Denki quickly realized it was because of his attempt.

"Oh, yeah that." Denki scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, "did you guys read the note?"

Shinso nodded and stayed silent for a moment before speaking.

"By the way, you now have to have another person with you at all times. It's usually going to be Aizawa but if you have me or another specific classmate cleared by Principle Nezu with you, you should be fine. Aizawa just has to stay near you."

Denki stopped suddenly, "WHAT?"

Shinso turned to look at him, "you tried to kill yourself and you honestly think they are just going to let you be on your own?"

Oh well that makes sense.

Denki sulked as he followed Shinso. He glanced up at the roof of the dorms as they drew nearer.

Once I get them off my back I can try again, this time with more precautions so I won't survive.

Denki smiled lightly at this plan.

Then they were in front of the doors.

I'm not ready to face them.

What if they laugh at me???

Why am I so weak???

His mind instantly started conjuring up possibilities for what could happen when he walked through those doors.

Would they laugh at him?

Call him dumb?

Tell him he's selfish?

Unable to do anything right?

He hadn't even noticed he was hyperventilating and backing up, he was so caught up in his thoughts, before a hand touched his shoulder lightly.

"Kaminari, calm down it's gonna be okay."

Shinso's reassuring voice grounded him as he took a deep breath and nodded.

Shinso opened the doors and they walked inside. Instantly a pink blob threw itself at denki.

"Wha?!!" He let out a strangled yelp as Mina tackled him.

"Denki oh my god! Your okay I was so worried! We all were!" Mina sobbed into his shoulder while hugging him.

He patted her head gently as he took in the scene around him. The only people in the room were the Bakusquad and Shinso, not as bad as he thought it would be.

He looked back down at Mina who was still holding him crying mumbling about how sorry she was for not noticing.

Suddenly he felt another set of arms around him, and another, and another.

His eyes widened and he looked up, Bakugu, Kiri, and Sero where also hugging him. Kiri and Sero had tears in his eyes while Bakugou just looked ashamed of something.

Bakugou suddenly pulled away, he stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked away.

"I'm sorry by the way," he mumbled, "for everything I said I mean. You aren't that stupid Dunc- Kaminari."

Then he turned around and walked off while everyone else stared at him.

"That- that was so MANLY!!" Exclaimed Kirishima.

Denki was just standing there, shell shocked. Bakugou had...apologized??

He felt three pairs of arms release him and he looked back at Mina, Sero, and Kiri.

Kiri sniffled then looked Denki dead in the eye, "I'm sorry for not noticing bro, I should have known something was wrong man I'm so sorry."

He started to cry and pulled Denki in for another hug.

Denki suddenly noticed something, even though four people had hugged him, all of them had carefully avoided his arms and more specifically, his wrists.

Maybe they really did care.

As kiri released him Sero decided to apologize.

"I'm also super sorry bro. Frozen is your favorite movie! I thought it was weird that you didn't want to watch it but I should have thought about it more! I'm so sorry bro!" He wiped the tears from his eyes.

Slowly denki began to get a bad feeling.

They are pitying you

They don't really care

They just want to play the role of a good friend

It's all out of pity

He hated being pitied.

"Oh hey shinso!"

Midorya's voice cut through the silence.

"How come your here?" The green haired boy brought to attention something that denki hadn't even thought about.

Shinso shrugged, "I'm getting moved to 1-A"

This was news to denki.

"Really?" Said an exited Midorya from the staircase.

Shinso nodded, "I'm moving In tomorrow."

Then he left.

Denki decided he should try to slip away too and started heading to the elevator but Mina immediately saw him.

"Oh no you don't!" She cried out, "just where do you think your going?"

"Uhhh, my room?"

She grinned at him, "great! How about we all have a sleepover tonight! My dorm?"

Kiri and Sero immediately agreed. Kiri ran upstairs to go tell Bakugou.

Denki thought for a moment.

"Sure why not," he said and slipped back into his old happy mask.

Mina raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on the fake smile.

"Great! Denki I'll come with you to get your stuff for the sleepover." She said.

They headed over to the elevator and as soon as they were inside Mina turned to him.

"Me, Bakugou, Sero, and Kiri all know, Shinso too, that's it. All of us are allowed to watch over you and we all have Mr Aizawas number on our phones if we need help. He's moving into the dorms tonight so he can also watch over you."

Denki blinked, that was a lot to process.

"Okay" he shrugged.

The elevator dinged open and they entered the hallway, heading to denkis room.

He stopped her outside the door.

"Um, can I go in first and clean up a bit? It's a mess."

She shook her head and put her hands on her hips, "nope! Im coming with you wether you like it or not, I'm gonna help my friend with his mental health if it's the last thing I do!"

He sighed and let her in.

As he gathered some clothes and a sleeping bag for that night, Mina was inspecting his bathroom cabinets, desk, and closets for any sharp objects. She found a couple pairs of scissors and his backup razor blade set but she hadn't seen the box under his bed yet, maybe she wouldn't check?

She did.

She triumphantly pulled out the box and opened it. Pulling out the box cutters and other assorted blades she uncovered his diary.

His face went pale as she opened it to the first page.

"Oh... denki I-"
