I'll Get My Revenge

My name's Asahi Akutagawa and I'm the eldest son in the Akutagawa family. I live with both of my parents and my two sisters, Himari and Hina. Himari is the second eldest among us and Hina is the youngest. My father was once a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps but he quit years ago because of his sickness. I've heard that he got it from a demon he once fought. We live in the forest which is a little far from a nearby village so it's usually just us here.

I was at home playing with my two sisters. We were acting like we're demon slayers fighting a demon. I was the demon of course. Our father used to always tells us stories about when he was a demon slayer. Suddenly, my mother approached us. 

Mother: Asahi, would you mind bringing those woods to the village and sell them? Your father was so tired from chopping them and he needs to rest.

Asahi: Okay, I'll do it!

Himari: Can I follow big brother too?

Himari said with a puppy eyes 

Mother: Hmm.. Okay then. Stay close to your brother, alright? Take care you two.

Asahi: We'll be back soon!

I picked up the woods and put them in a basket then we head towards the village. It took us a while to get there but we eventually made it. We walked to the market then started selling our woods. 

After a while, we managed to sell all of our wood. It's already night. After making sure there's no wood left, we made our way towards our house.

Himari: I really had fun today with you, big brother. I want to follow you again!

Asahi: Haha sure, Himari! As long as mother allows it.

When we arrived, the front door was open. Suddenly, I heard a sound that does not sound like any human being inside the house. I had a bad feeling so I told Himari to hide in the bushes while I check it out. When I peeked inside, what I saw scarred me. It's a big demon with long white hair, red skin, glowing yellow eyes and big fangs eating. I looked around and saw my family, all dead and bloody. The demon seems to be feasting on them.

It's my first time ever seeing a demon so I was very scared. I almost screamed but I managed to hold it in. I tried to get away but I accidentally kicked a rock then I saw the demon looking at me straight into my eyes. I screamed then tried to run away. I threw some rocks I found on the ground towards the demon but it doesn't even affect him.

Demon: Hahaha you think some little rocks can damage me? You humans are so idiotic, ya know? But you do taste good!

The demon lunges at me. He tried to scratch me but I managed to dodge him. I managed to kick his legs from behind that caused him to fall.

Demon: Ahh! You brat! I'll make sure you suffer!

Suddenly, the demon's eyes glow even more along with his claws. In a blink of an eye, he caught me then choked me.

Demon: You put up a good fight, human. Too bad I have to eat you now hahaha.

Suddenly a man appeared behind him.

Mysterious man: I don't think so

He seems to be holding a katana. He slashed the demon's hand that was choking me then he tried to slash the demon's neck but it was fast to dodge it.

Demon: Ah! I'm not in the mood to fight right now! You ruined my good meal!

Suddenly, smokes appeared around the demon and when the smokes cleared, the demon is nowhere to be seen.

Mysterious man: Are you okay, kid? Is it only you?

Asahi: I'm alright, mister.. M-My sister is hiding in the bushes.

Mysterious man: Okay.. Get her and follow me. I'll bring you someplace safe from here.

I called out Himari's name then she walked out of the bush she's hiding in. She ran straight to me then cried while hugging me.

Asahi: It's alright, Himari.. We're safe for now...

I can't believe it.. My whole family's dead.. I promise all of you, I will kill that demon..

The man lead us to his home which was not too far from our house. He immediately set up two futons for us to sleep on then offered us some food.

Asahi: Thank you, mister.. We really appreciate it..

Mysterious man: It's my pleasure, kid.. Tell me, what's your name?

Asahi: My name's Asahi Akutagawa and this is my little sister, Himari..

Mysterious man: Well you can call me Hiroto. Wait, you're from the Akutagawa family?

Asahi: Oh yes..

Hiroto: Is your father Fuji Akutagawa?

Asahi: Yes, he is.. Do you know him?

Hiroto: Yes, we used to work together in the Demon Slayer Corps. You might not remember me but we were really good friends back then until he decided to quit then I rarely see him.

Asahi: Oh he did mentioned about a friend he used to work with back then.. So that must be you! You're the Unstoppable Hiroto!

Hiroto: Ah that nickname they gave is so weird but yeah that's me.

Asahi: Hiroto-sama, can I ask you a favour?

Hiroto: What is it, Asahi?

Asahi: Please train me to become a demon slayer! I want to be a great swordsman just like you and my father!

Hiroto: Asahi.. Being a demon slayer is really dangerous. Demon slayers are always risking their lives fighting demons out there. Why would you want to become one?

Asahi: I want to get revenge on the demon that killed my family! I can't do it unless I'm a trained demon slayer! I heard about the katana they gave to demon slayers that can kill a demon!

Hiroto: A Nichirin Blade, huh? I don't know about this..

Asahi: Please, Hiroto-sama! I promise that I will avenge my family's death!

Hiroto's mind: He is really fast to dodge the demon's attack just now and he kicks hard.

Hiroto: I like your determination, Asahi. Okay, starting tomorrow I'll train you to be a demon slayer. Now get some sleep.

Asahi: Thank you so much! I promise I wont let you down!

Mother, father, Hina.. I promise.. I'll get my revenge and kill that bastard..
