Copy Demon

It's been a few months now since the start of my training with Rengoku. I've finally mastered the ninth form but it's not that strong for now. I have to keep on training to further strengthen that technique so I can kill the stronger demons.

I'm just training with Tanjiro at the Butterfly Mansion. Both of us has been injured a lot lately since we've been fighting a lot of powerful demons together so we've been spending a lot of time at this mansion.

Tanjiro: Asahi! I'm going to stop for now, I'm exhausted.

Asahi: Okay! I'll be back in a few.

Our ranks had only risen to Mizunoe. For your information, there are ten ranks in the Demon Slayer Corps, from lowest to highest, Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, Kinoe.

After a few minutes, I've finished my training. I can feel I'm getting stronger day by day, same goes to Tanjiro. We've been training everyday non stop to improve ourselves. I head inside then see Tanjiro talking to Himari.

Asahi: Ah I'm happy to see you two getting along.

Himari: Oh hello big brother! Here's some water. Tanjiro-san was just telling me about both of your adventures as a demon slayer! 

Tanjiro: Haha yeah. Himari just reminds me of my own sister, Nezuko. One day, when she turns back into a human, I promise you two would get along really well and play together!

Himari: Yay I can't wait!

Asahi: I like your positivity, Tanjiro. I know you'll achieve your goal one day.

Tanjiro: Yes!

Suddenly, our crow flew in.

Crow: Demon sightings found near a village up north-west!

Asahi: Well that's our cue, Tanjiro. Let's go!

Himari: Stay safe, you two!

Asahi & Tanjiro: Okay!

We take our katanas then head to the village the crow was referring to.

When we arrive there, we were so shocked! There's a village festival going on tonight, it will be harder to catch the demon! Also the villagers will be in danger if left alone out at night.

Asahi: How are we going to do this, Tanjiro?

Tanjiro: Hmm.. Let's go on the rooftops. We can spot unusual activity easily from here.

After quite a while, there's still no sign of any unusual activity anywhere. The festival seems to be going on smoothly. Suddenly, Tanjiro sits up.

Tanjiro: Asahi! I can smell a demon somewhere in this area. Look out for any suspicious stuff.

Asahi: Got it!

I look around but still no sign of any demon. There seems to be just people everywhere. Even if the demon hides in the crowds, the people there would notice it since demons don't look like any human.

Then, I see someone. Wait isn't that a demon slayer? What is he doing here? I believe only Tanjiro and I were assigned on this task. Maybe he's just passing by?

Asahi: Tanjiro. There isn't any demon slayer joining us tonight, right?

Tanjiro: No, I don't think so. Why?

Asahi: Look over there. Isn't that the corps' uniform? And that's definitely a Nichirin sword.

Tanjiro: You're right. Look out for him, it seems suspicious.

Minutes pass by, still no sign. Suddenly, Tanjiro speaks up.

Tanjiro: Asahi! I hear a woman's cry from that alley! It sounds like she's in pain!
