Mother Agatha walked away from us and we pretended to take interest at the fruit stall that was nearby, while keeping our eyes open for the sign. Mother Agatha's finger pointed to the sky. The first sign. Tasha walked over to the man and exclaimed loudly about predicting her future, too. The second sign, Teresa strode over, feigning interest. I followed her close behind. I study the man for some valuables. I saw his wallet sticking out of his dress pants, but money was Teresa's department. I see a gold pocket watch extended in his right hand that I could not possibly take. I peeked at his left hand. There are three rings on his thumb, index and middle finger. All gold embedded with stones that I recognize as Ruby, Amethyst, and Sapphire. It quite surprised me at how quickly I can know their types and worth. After being a thief for five years, it would amaze you at the things you would learn to know.

"Your future is very clear. Unfortunately, I see you breaking your leg tomorrow." Mother Agatha said, as she falsely predicted the man's future. My mind forced me to refocus as the code word enters my ear. We changed our code words often to avoid suspicion. Adrenaline flowed through my veins as my hands swiftly went to work. My whole body and face stayed in place except for my eyes and hands. I twisted the ring slightly, and it fell into my other hand with a soft thud. One, two, three. All three rings were secured in my hands. I dropped them in my dress pocket, keeping my face neutral as I checked the man's face for danger. But the man was occupied with Mother Agatha and Tasha.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Teresa hiding his wallet in her undergarments. Our mission is done. She nodded slightly to me and I repeated the gesture to Mother Agatha.

Receiving the signal, Mother Agatha wrapped it up and walked away, with Tasha trailing behind her as her 'enthusiast'.

Teresa walked in the opposite way. I stood there narrowing my choice of which way I should go. I was just about to go when someone stopped me.

My heart beat spiked. There's the same voice of guilt that I have grown to be accustomed to. Am I finally caught? Is this really the end? Am I going to jail? I turned around slowly. My eyes widen as I registered who was standing before me. It was the very man that we just stole from. Did he see we stole from him? Had he alerted the police? I was frozen in fear.
