The group decided not to rearrange the cars when they left the restaurant to go to the karaoke bar, allowing the girls to search through their music to find the most iconic songs. Obviously, almost the entirety of the SOUR album was included as well as some of the songs that they just knew every word to. It didn't take long for all the cars to arrive at the bar and to make their way into one of the rooms.
"This is nice!" Cat drags out the word 'nice'.
"Who wants to go first?" Kane asks.
"We have to look in the songbook first to figure out which ones are available and what their number is," Ryan responds as Sarah practically dives for the song list.
"I call going first!" She shouts as she frantically starts flipping through the pages. It didn't take long for her to find what she was looking for and type the number into the player. The familiar notes of Girls Just want to Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper fill the room.
"Now this is how you start karaoke!" Selene says as she joins Sarah before grabbing the second microphone and together they scream the lyrics with no care in the world. Or respect for the art of music.
"Pass me the book," Sebastian holds his hands out towards Meg since she was closest.
"Only if you let me look too," Meg responds as she takes the book and joins him on the couch.
"Do all of you sing?" He asks as they open the book."Actually, all of us but Sarah had choir together in high school. When Selene joined us a year later we just got more chaotic, the teacher hated us. Do you guys sing?" Meg looks up from the book to look at the boy beside her.
"Oliver and I have released a few songs and we're working on some pieces with all the boys right now. Nothing as professional as a choir though," He responds as he scours the pages of the songbook. Most of the songs were current and include a lot of older songs as well.
"Y'all can compose?" Meg's eyes grow wide with shock and a newfound respect for the group.
"It's mostly Oliver, but yeah." Seb smiles shyly at the attention of the girl.
"That's such a coincidence," Meg begins to laugh, "When we were singing, Cat was always the best at reading the music. She'd always have to help me with my solfege and she would help Mia when she got frustrated with the key. Selene never really cared enough to be proactive in learning anything past the first note," Meg began to ramble as she looked back at the pages. "Have you found what you want to sing?" She asks.
"Um, I was thinking Blinding Lights," Seb says as he slowly looks back to the book from Meg, "Have you guys ever tried composing anything?" He prods.
"Cat tried once but she didn't get far since she doesn't know how to play anything but the piano," Meg says before pushing Sebastian off the couch, "You should go next! I want to hear you sing!"
"Okay who's next?" Selene says as her and Sarah's song ends.
"Sebastian!" Meg yells before pushing him towards the duo. "He's singing Blinding Lights by the Weekend."
"Wow, I'm so shocked. You're singing the Weekend. What's next? Doja cat?" Justin says in a monotone voice.
"Shut up! I already know you're going to end up singing Traitor!" Sebastian retorts.
"He's not wrong," Kane says.
"Yo! Justin! Are you gonna take that from them?" Ryan instigates as he throws his hand over his mouth.
"If you sing Olivia Rodrigo, then I'm singing Olivia Rodrigo," Meg smiles at the group.
"Just get up here and sing Seb!" Sarah drags him to the stage and he plugs in the number and begins to sing.
