Chapter 7 - March 24

Mia usually wakes up around eight o'clock regardless of what she has to do that day. So even on her day off, she was awake in time to say goodbye to most of her friends before they had to leave. Though it didn't take long for her to find herself alone. Well. Almost alone. All four animals were with her in the living room as she scrolled on her phone. She had resigned herself to a boring day off when a notification came across her phone.

what are you doing today?

literally nothing

i'm so bored

what if i took you out then?

Mia blinks at her phone with surprise. He wants to take her out?  This is new, though he's probably not serious, just flirty joking because this is much too forward. No guy is just upfront with their intentions.

"I guess he's actually picking me up," Mia says to her pitbull Piper, who was practically laying on top of her before moving her to the side. Mia got up from her spot on the couch and made her way to her room as she typed out the address.

Looks like she'll be wearing her usual sweats and crop top out. Athletic leisure was something Mia could always rely on when it came to being cute and comfortable. She changes quickly and puts her hair up in a bun before she grabs her keys and returns to the living room to wait. Mia doesn't usually put much effort into her outfits for these kinds of outings. Especially if it just ends up at his place. Which it always does. She barely sits down before she hears an engine running outside. She stands from the couch and begins to head to the door before the sound disappears. Confused, she peeks outside the window to see if the car wasn't meant for her, maybe a neighbor is just getting home or something. A knock at the door further confuses her, is it a package? She opens the door to see the handsome face of her date. He came to her door? That's new. Maybe he'll exceed her expectations, that's a scary thought.

"Hey Regie," She smiles.

"Hey gorgeous," He returns the smile and she steps outside before locking the door behind her. They walk to the car and he quickly grabs her door to open it for her. Mia moves slowly as she stares and enters the car. There's no way. He opened. The door. For her. He's either really working for a hookup or he's actually a decent guy. Strange.

"So I was thinking we could go get boba. Do you like boba?" Regie says as he closes his door and starts the car.

"I love boba. That's a great idea." She shakes herself out of the shock that Regie was actually a gentleman and turns her attention fully to the boy. "Did you not have any plans for the day?"

"Nah, we spent a lot of time yesterday filming so Ty gave us until five to do whatever," he responds.

"Who's Ty?"

"He's our manager. This is actually his car," Regie chuckles a little as he ends his statement.

"You don't have a car? I could have driven," Mia says.

"I have a car, it's just at home," Regie says. There's a beat of silence and he glances at his passenger to see a very confused face and he elaborates, "Since we're not actually from Cali, we just have two cars that we all share here."
