"Sorry I'm late," Cat says to no one in particular. Mostly because the house was filled to the brim with people. She was late due to practice and was joining the boys, her friends, and whoever else the guys invited at a 'Last Day Before Ty Gets Back' party that she was pretty sure Ty knew about anyway.

"Hey Cat!" Ryan's voice called as she closed the door behind her, "did you just get here?"

"Yeah, practice just ended. Oh! And since you said we could invite whoever, I invited my dance team so they might show up."

"Perfect timing honestly. We only really started thirty-ish minutes ago," Ryan smiles as he ushers her to the kitchen where people were taking shots.

"Oh you brought me to the right place cause today has been long," She says and makes her way to the table. Ryan watches as the girl takes a cup, pours about three shots of vodka into it, throws it back, and then sets her cup down again for a refill.

"I feel like I should go tell Oli that Cat is here."

"Looks like Cat just got here," Justin states as he approaches Meg who was leaning against a wall.

"Yeah, I just saw her take three shots of vodka before filling her cup up with another three shots and Dr. Pepper," Meg states.

"Can she handle it?" Justin asks as he takes the spot next to her.

"Depends on how she paces herself from here on, last time we drank she was the best off. I was certainly not, but I was going through it," Meg says as she takes another sip of her drink.

"Going through it?"
"I, um, had just gotten broken up with," Meg struggles to get out. He gives her a sympathetic look, "Yeah, not fun."
"I didn't know you were in a relationship, how long ago was that?" Justin's attention is peaked when hears of her being single.

"Were being the keyword. It's been less than a month and since I was with him for over two years, it hits hard," Meg says as she takes a bigger swig of her drink.

"Oh," Justin joins her in taking a sip of his drink, though not as big. He likes Meg. He's been trying to hint at it lightly but now he can see why she wasn't exactly receptive. "I guess that means you're not up for something new?" Meg looks up at him with surprise written across her face.

"I wasn't- I mean- I-" Meg sighs, "no, not exactly."

"Cool, I was just seeing where I stand," Justin smiles at the girl, but she could see that he was still a little hurt by her 'not-quite-rejection' rejection.

"I'm sorry, I was just surprised. I wasn't expecting you to actually bring up the fact that you were interested." Meg tries to recover the conversation.

"Wait, you could tell?" He questions.

"I could guess but I didn't want to assume."

"Damn," Justin says and the two sit in silence for a moment before he pushes himself off the wall, "I'm going to go follow Cat's lead."
"Wait, Justin," Meg starts.

"Nah, you're good." He smiles and shoos the girl back, "I'll talk to you tomorrow," he says before making his way to the kitchen. Meg groans and puts her head against the wall. At least he found out before he got too invested so he can let it go easier. Easier. Not easy.

"Justin!" Cat shouts and throws her arm over his shoulders as he approaches the drinks. "Come to take a shot?"

"Yup," he says as he reaches for a new cup to put the liquor in.

"I'll pour it for you!" She cheers and reaches for the vodka.

"Thanks but no thanks. Your shots are looking a little too big right-" he stops himself, "actually yeah. Pour me a big one." He gives the girl his cup who shrugs and pours him a shot that looks more like two.
