The restaurant was fancy and nice, the food was delicious, I felt a bit out of place, everyone chic and overdressed, and then me as a demon, which no one knew, but still I felt wrong.

After dinner we walked back to his house, deciding to meet tomorrow again, to create a plan.

"That was nice."

"Yeah, so see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah."

"You can keep the clothes if you want, it suits you.", he smiled.

"Thanks, I have to go."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I was nervous, I'm rarely nervous, maybe it was the fear to get caught or the fact I knew him. Can a demon be scared? Yes, at least I can. I worried about that giant evil thing that tries to end us all and I worried about my job, I am the worst demon hell as ever seen.

I was free the next day, so I decided to visit earth earlier, I didn't like him, at least not in a sexual way, but he felt like a friend.

"Hey. You're early."

"Sorry, but I am free today, so I thought the earlier we start the better it is, who knows how much time we have."

"Good point. So, sit down. Want a drink?"

"Sure, you got wine?"

"I got tea? We don't drink in heaven. Sadly."

"Leave it to me.", I grinned and snapped my finger to turn the boring tea into wine.

"Huh, well then, I suppose I couldn't stop you.", he laughed and filled two glasses.

"So, what is this thing?"

"Honestly? I have no idea, they just told me it's something big, probably. Actually, they didn't tell me anything, just that I have to spy hell."

"So, we are just going to wait and try to end it if it arrives?"

"Yeah, why do we even care? We're immortal!", he laughed clearly drunk already, it were only two hours.

"You're drunk. You tolerate nothing, you're definitely not used to alcohol."

"Yeah, was about time!", he giggled.

"Get sober."

"And you are a demon?! You are not fun!", he pouted.

"Stop it. Got to bed."

"But it's only noon!"

"I know, that's the problem."

"Let's watch TV."

"Okay, if you want to."

I turned on the TV, I was uncomfortable, but I also couldn't leave him alone, not like that. A few minutes later he was already asleep, I sat on the armchair watching the movie, my eyes got heavy, and I felt I would fall also asleep any second.

I opened my eyes again, looked around, I wasn't in the living room anymore. I was in a bed under a warm blanket with a soft pillow.

"Where am I?", I mumbled.

"My bed.", he mumbled back.

"Ahh!", I jumped up and fell out of the bed, when I noticed he had an arm around me.

"Are you hurt?", he sat up.

"No."

"What happened?", he crawled out of the sheets and kneeled on the floor.

"Nothing, I'm....I don't like to be touched, not if I don't do it myself."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't know. You were just sleeping so tight, so I brought you to bed, it was late when I woke up."

"It's okay, just don't do it again, okay?"

"Sure.", he sadly smiled, not knowing what to do.

"Thanks."

"You remind me of someone, the angel I told you about, with the same name, he was like you, I don't know what happened to him, but I miss him."

"I...am....sorry."

"Don't be, you can't bring him back."

"I...know...", I answered with teary eyes.

"What time is it?", I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Early noon, 12 am to be specific."

"Shit! I got a show today!", I jumped up.

"Okay, then go. Will we see each other soon?"

"Probably.", I smiled.

"Okay.", he reached out his hand again, I looked at it with hesitation, thinking if I should grab it, but I vanished in panic, and left him behind.

Out of breath I ran to the club, starting to practice my show again. The show was a total disaster, I couldn't focus, too much in my head, I slipped, fell and almost started crying, knowing it was over for me now.

"What the f*ck was that?!"

"I'm sorry..."

"Your stupid sorry won't bring me the money I lost tonight!"

"I...."

"You're fired!"

"But how should I earn money now?"

"You know my answer to that. Now out of my club, I only want to see you again if you changed your mind."

I felt the tears in my eyes, rushing home so no one could see me cry, no demon should cry.

I let myself fall on the floor, covering my whole body with my wings, the once bright white feathered wings, which now were half covered in black and grey feathers.
