I walk for what seems only a few minutes but, as I stop to take stock in my surroundings, I realize I'm no where near the camp. In fact I'm not sure where I am. All the trees seem to be all in a row lined next to a stone path that I'm currently on. There is a strange light glowing from down the road. The road I'm on seems to go forever in either direction. I run toward the trees on one side of the road passing in between the trees. I stop and I'm standing on either the same road or one perfectly identical.
Where am I? Is this some other weird dream? Where do I go? As I look more closely at my surroundings I realize the moon looks closer than before. It seems to be over the spot on the road where the glowing is coming from. I have been told that the moon is a tear from God and with origin it points the way for weary travelers on the right path. So I walk towards the moon.
As I got closer I could see a tree thats white as freshly fallen snow and it is where the glow is coming from. It had no leaves on any of its branches and it was a great deal taller than the rest of the trees.
I get to the tree which is at the crossroads of several other roads. Where am I? I think to myself. As I walk around the trees I come face to face with a mountain of a man who stands two times taller than me and muscles that make mine look rather puny. His hand alone is big enough to cover my head whole. He has wild blonde hair and blue eyes. He is wearing furs for pants and boots and carries a large Battle axe that's just right for his size.
"Hel..." I get out before he cuts me off by swinging his axe down towards me. I draw my sword and block him holding the handle of my sword with my right hand, and having the broad side of the blade against the palm of my left hand. My knees almost give way and the ground cracks under my feet. The only thing that saved me from the initial blow was this sword Zoey made me. Now it's just his shear strength bearing down on me. I have to thank Zoey! I think to myself. "ARE YOU THE MAN THAT WANTS TO DESTROY MY PEOPLE!?" He roars angrily. With all my strength I push back just enough deflect him away so I could jump back out of range. "No I'm not interested in destroying
anybody so please stop!" I yell back at him.The man gazes at me as if he is looking for the quickest way to end my life. I drop my sword on the ground and look into straight into his eyes. "Strike me down if that is what your heart desires but, know that I mean you no ill will." I say as I stare straight at him showing no signs of fear or anger toward him. He stands looking at me as if he's judging my very character.
"I will not swing my axe at an unarmed man. I'm a man of honor." He states as he puts his axe away on his back. "Thank you for being honorable, my name is Darian." I say thanking my lucky stars he put his axe away. He takes a few steps toward me to where I'm within striking distance. He put his axe away but I'm sure a punch from him would still be the death of me. I think to myself as I look up at him. He clinches his fists. Just as another man comes from behind him. The mountain of a man moves off to the side as puts distance between both me and the new arrival. The new man is clearly an elf with pointed ears and leather archers attire he has long gray and yellow striped hair in a long pony tail and blue eyes. He stands about my height and build.
The elf draws his sword and looks at us both. "I'm here to face the trials of this place and it seems as it is prophesied I must defeat my enemies." He says as he gets in a more offensive stance. "STUPID ELF IT SHALL BE YOU WHO LAYS DEFEATED AT MY FEET!" The mountain man thunders towards the elf. I then realized that they looked as though they were the only two here with how hard they stared at one another.
In an instant they both charged at each other. I quickly grabbed my sword and race in between the two. I raise my sword to block both of them. The elf swings his sword in my direction I deflect his blade which shoots lightning from within it just to take another down swing from the mountain man. I manage to deflect the blow behind me. With both men missing their targets they gaze at me. "STOP THIS MADNESS!" I yell keeping my sword drawn making sure to stay directly in between the two so neither can get a hit on the other without going through me. "This doesn't look like the kind of place to be having a battle over. This looks like a place of peace." I say looking at the two showing no intention of backing down. "You willingly got between us just to stop us from fighting why?" The elf asks as he looks at me and the mountain man. "A moment ago you dropped your sword not knowing whether you would live or die why?" The mountain man asks as he holds his axe far less intimidating.
