The Sorceress Knight: The Three Feathers

Prologue

                            
                          
          In a time of magic and the sword. Power, those that have it are never satisfied with what they have, they want more. And those that have none seek to gain it. War looms on the horizon, an alliance of unlikely heroes fight an ageless battle between good and evil. The definition of a knight is put to the test. And those clinging to pain are given the chance to make it their strength.

In a dimension and place far from our own. On a blue planet much like earth.

On the continent of Boa there rests the Kingdom of Odathia, nestled in a valley between the Hosran Mountains and the Malvian Sea. The kingdom of Odathia's neighbors are Granthef home of the Elves to the south, the Barbaric kingdom of Overland to the east and, The land of Jico to the north. They all surround the Kingdom of Roz.

Roz which encompasses the whole lake of hope, the city of Four Falls and some of the surrounding lands. They're highly militarized with an army that could rival most of the known world.

Granthef is a highly forested region with roaming villages and grand cities steeped in magical folklore the elves call this home. Their Archers and soldiers are well known for their skill and ability.

Overland home of the nomadic barbarian tribes is a harsh land with few forests and relief from its ever changing and unpredictable climate ranging from blistering heat to artic cold this land is said to be to tough for the weak of heart. They're said to be descendants of giants for not even the shortest of them is less than 6' 2".

Jico is the land to the north very little is known about our northern neighbor except it at one time it was a war mongering land that controlled much of the known world. Then one day they slowly began moving back into the frozen north leaving only one of their fortresses behind in what is now known as Four Falls. They were finally defeated by an alliance from Granthef, Overland, and Odathia. Then shortly after as if overnight the mountain range that borders Jico rose and became far more treacherous than before.  Ever since that they have become secluded.

The Kingdom of Odathia is a prosperous land filled with farmland forests and bustling towns. Ruled by a gentle and kind king and queen, which they had a daughter named Aria. Who they loved very much.

Aria had a playmate a few years older, a boy named Darian. He was the son of the captain of the guard, his mother passed away when he was little. Odathia was a pillar of peace and happiness, so much so they wished to bring peace to any willing.

      In the beginning of summer the parents and their most trusted advisor, Valdeen the wizard and Sir. headed out across the sea to a newly discovered land. On the eve of their return a tremendous storm hit the sea. The storm was so terrible it could be seen for miles around. That morning only a single long boat arrived to port, its only passenger was Valdeen. He was injured and quite shaken.

       The usual fanfare was no where to be found, only the tears of all those that knew the lost at sea and of the now orphaned children. Valdeen never fully recovered, he was on the verge of retirement before the trip. He always apologized about what happened. Saying he did everything he could to save them but, it was to much he had never seen such an angry storm. Valdeen took it upon himself to raise the two orphaned children, and to secure Aria's place has queen.

     He also made sure Darian was knighted. When they lost their parents Darian was twelve and Aria was ten. By the time Valdeen was ready to leave for good he sent out word of his retirement to far off lands seeking new blood to help protect and support the kingdom. Two men aswered the call. Rican and Trovely. These men were seasoned wizards but, Valdeen decided to take them on as apprentices and sought to leave one in charge once he saw which was best suited for the job. Aria was now queen and Darian was Knighted. Valdeen was striving to make sure the Kingdom was just the way it was before the tragedy.

The wreckage of the ship and all that was aboard has not been recovered. Nor would Valdeen speak of what happened when they reached the new land.

     That was five years ago. The Kingdom is happy and thriving. Darian is The Captain of the guard just like his father before him. Aria is a kind and caring queen who goes out of her way to keep her people happy.
