Deep in the forest sits the small village of Nole, and in this village, other than the street lights, two torches were the only lights that shone in the twilight of the night. These torches belong to the village guards who peacefully walk back and forth from north and south and east and west both meeting in the middle. "I'm looking forward to the festival this month." One guard says to the other as they stop to chat for a moment. Then out of nowhere, a single arrow hits the ground between their feet. "WHAT?!" They both exclaim as they look about, trying to figure where it came from.
They put up their shields just as thousands of arrows rain down upon the village. One of the arrows strikes one of the torches used as street lights knocking it down and igniting the village a blaze. The guards look at each other than to the east where a horde of elven warriors come charging into the village. The guards draw their swords. "THE ELVES ARE ATTACKING!" Both guards shout as they begin to defend the village.
Sapphire, Darian, Plague, and Robin get to a hill overlooking the village. They see the blaze and the horde attacking the village. "Darian, me and you will fight off those guys, Plague and Robin do whatever it takes to get the people to safety, and Plague get a hold of the others and send them this way!" Sapphire orders as she looks at us. "They're on their way should be here shortly. I'll send Zoey into the fray with you two and get Gem to see if she can stop the flames and Babe will help us!" Plague says in response."I'll try, you know me and fire sis." Robin says looking very nervous. "We got this, you two show them who's boss!" Plague says as me and Sapphire looked at them and then head into town.
Sapphire and I rush into town where the guards are trying to hold their ground and failing. Some villagers are running around frantically. I draw my sword as I notice the blaze growing."We will handle these guys you two should worry about getting the people to safety." I say as both me and Sapphire break through the ranks freeing the guards.
"Right thanks!" One of the guards says as they both start directing people out of the villages."They have no souls so feel free to let loose on these guys." Sapphire says as she continues to beat these soldiers down. "How can you tell?" I ask as I knock the sword out of the hand of one of them. "Trust me I can tell." She replies as she delivers a series of punches and kicks to a group of the enemies. I stand in awe as I watch Sapphire. It's like watching some form of art.
As we are fighting, I see some of the houses torn apart, as if someone is pulling them apart one by one to get a better look inside. I see the villagers run toward the forest trying to escape the attacks on their houses with their hands full with whatever belongings they can carry.
I have been watching these soldiers, they are all emotionless and all look and attack exactly the same. "These warriors seem lifeless and focused on us Sapphire." I say as we continue fighting the soldiers. Just then Zoey joins the fight slashing at the soldiers with her metal fingers as she makes her entrance."Who are they?" Zoey asks as she punches a warrior in the face knocking it back in to some of the others. "They look elvish but they're not." I say as I strike down another. "They're lifeless whatever they are. They were never alive to begin with." Sapphire says as she brutally punches one in the stomach cracking it's chestplate, sending it crashing into several of its counterparts.
"Show off!" Zoey says with a smile as she shoots projectiles into a group of them. "Show off huh? What do you call that?" Sapphire replies back as we continue fighting. "Is it just me or does it feel like we haven't made a dent in their numbers and there is more than we started with?" I ask as we take stock in their numbers which have quadrupled.
I strike another one down, knocking its sword from its hands. I looked up as I heard a voice that sounded like Gem's. We heard her chanting through out the village. The sound of thunder filled the skies and within moments it began to rain.
