Chapter VII Sisters

We finally get to a point where I can see the end of the tunnel. Plague climbs out then me then Sapphire. We have come out on the outside of the castle walls near an old farm in the middle of the night. It feels good to breathe in the air and feel the dirt between my toes. "Feels good?" Plague asks me as she watches me dig my toes into the dirt.

"Yeah I haven't actually done that since I was a kid but, once you get condemned to die it feels good to do something you never thought you would do again." I say as I smile at the girls. Plague shakes her head at me and smiles "Come on you can do that all you want later let's get inside for the night. We will head out some time tomorrow." Sapphire says as she heads toward the farm house.

I follow her and Plague toward a farm house nearby. "Is this your house?" I ask as we walk to it. "Yeah it is." Sapphire answers nonchalantly. I look at the house and the surrounding area trying to remember if I have seen it before which, in the end I can't recall ever seeing it. "This must be a new house I've never seen it and I've walked every part of the kingdom." I say as I am still trying to wrap my head around everything going on. "Yeah it is so what!?" Plague says with an angry tone.

"Sorry I was just being curious, with everything going on I feel out of...." I say as Plague interrupts me. "Curiosity killed the cat and right now we are all cats so be a good boy and be patient for now and we will explain everything when it's safe to do so!" Plague says with a very serious look and tone. "Yes, please be patient and we will explain it all soon. Sorry about plague but she is tired which makes her more on edge." Sapphire says trying to be Nice.

Sapphire opens the front door and holds it open for me and Plague. " It's supposed to be the gentlemen holding the door for the ladies." I say as I stand at the door offering to hold it for Sapphire and Plague. "Move it some of us want to go to bed!" Plague states as she grabs me and pushes me aside and goes into the house. "Sorry she isn't very patient." Sapphire says as we both walk in.

The first thing I see when I go in is Plague hugging a stuffed toy rabbit with random patches sewn on with two buttons for eyes one big black one and one medium sized blue one. To top it off there is a metallic object attached to it's right arm. Then I look around and notice how quaint and Nice this little house is. With the fire place and all the torches lit. "I'm going to see if I can find some better clothes for you Darian." Sapphire says as she walks into another room. "Oh ok thank you."I say in response.

Plague puts the Rabbit down and walks in to the same room Sapphire went into, then comes out with some blankets and pillows. "Hold on let me help you Plague." I say as I walk over to her. "Ok." She says as she hands me a some of her load. "Thanks Darian we're setting the beds up around the fire place." Plague says as we lay down the blankets and pillows in a half circle in front of the fireplace.

Sapphire comes back in holding some boots and clothes. "Here you can try these on now or later doesn't really matter we will leave around noon so up to you." She says as she hands me the clothes. "Thanks Sapphire I'll try them on later I guess." I say as I set them down next to the bed I made. Sapphire takes off her sandals and sunglasses and puts them next to her bed which is closest to the door. Plague claims the bed in between me and Sapphire.

"Plague, Darian I'm going to go outside and smoke for a bit if you need anything let me know." Sapphire says as she pulls out a small box and a another oddly shaped metallic object out of her pockets. "Oh ok sis I love you I think I'll hit the hay." Plague says as her and Sapphire hug and kiss each other on the cheek. "Smoke, and what are those?" I ask as I watch the two hug each other. "Yeah it helps her calm her nerves and helps keep her awake. That's her cigarettes and lighter." Plague says as Sapphire goes outside and closes the door behind her." Oh... Ok does that mean she needs alone time?" I ask as I go and stoke the fire a bit. "No she is just being polite to you since it's probably something your not used to." She says as she gets ready for bed.
