The train ride continued and soon they were at the Homemade station. The girls boarded the carriage and were on the way to start the New Year at their Querencia. On reaching the castle Ellie was in awe. "merlin's balls the movies doesn't do justice to this beauty here." She said to no one in particular. Delia smiled hearing this and hugged Ellie from behind. "Just wait till you see it from inside Dorling."
They walked inside the castle and Ellie's jaw dropped seeing the beauty. "Miss Devon... I have been waiting for you. You'll be sorted first dear." Professor McGonagall said smiling at the young girl. Ellie returned the smile refraining herself from rushing forward and engulfing the woman. She silently followed her to where all the first year stood.
Meanwhile in the great hall the Gryffindor girls eagerly waited for their new friend to be sorted. "I wonder which house that girl from earlier would be sorted into?" Sirius muttered bluntly. "Slytherin for sure, seeing the way she threatened me." Peter said spitefully. "Oh yes and you weren't thrown out of the school for touching a woman without permission who is very well new even though it was her arm Peter." Millie said calmly but anger was very prominent in her voice. "Oh so the Lestrange speaks. What is it hmm... evil stands for evil huh?" Sirius taunts his once best friend. "Don't forget black I'm nothing like my family as you are nothing like yours. We might have fallen out of our friendship but that doesn't mean you get to insult me for standing for a woman." Millie said a bit of sadness in her voice as she was compared to her family by someone she was so similar to. Sirius on hearing this went silent. Even though they were no more best friends, but Millie was like the sibling he never had.
In the front of the hall Dumbledore stood up, "good evening student, as I see everyone is settled I would like the sorting to commence. There is a little change of sorting pattern. We will be first sorting Miss Eleanor Devon a 6th year transfer student from Beaux baton Academy." At this the door of the great hall flew open and there entered Eleanor as confident as ever. She walked towards the stool and sat on it and placed the sorting hat on her head.
"Ah I see the prophecy bearer is here." The hat said in her head and then the hats voice tuned back into the hall. "The girl from far has come to change the foreseen days. Hmmm... cunning as a slithering snake, witty as a brainy crowd, could die without a second thought.... You better be GRIFFINDOR" The hat said and the girls clapped the loudest. Peter was nowhere near happy but was also rather scared what fate had in store for him. Sirius was shaking in fury to hear the girl was to share his house too.
The rest of the sorting and feast went off in a blur. As they all headed to the common room, Sirius was coming up with a plan to get back to Eleanor for how she treated Peter back on the train.
Ellie was almost stepping over the portrait hole when Sirius tripped her and she fell down. "What the fuck dude." She exclaimed and saw Sirius laughing by the portrait hole. "Oh Devon didn't knew you were already falling for me." He said wiping the tears that trudged down his prominent cheeks. "If I were you I would watch my back." He continued sending her a glare as he climbed up the stairs to the boys dormitories. "You all right Eleanor. I'm sorry for how he's treating you and how he abused you on the train and I didn't say anything as I was rather shocked seeing a girl stand up to him. I will talk to him and ask him to lay of your back." James said and rushed after Sirius. Peter and Remus following. She straightened her clothes and followed the girls to her dormitory where they all changed and went to bed waiting for what the next day had in store for them.
