Venom

Snake Eyes sat in the cafeteria of Midtown High as he stared at his phone, which showed the file SHIELD had on Storm Shadow, which wasn't much. All that was there was his code name, status as a ninja assassin, possible affiliation with a group called Cobra, and the one photo Genji had managed to get from SHIELD of Storm Shadow, which was blurry as all get out.

'Why didn't Fury tell me that he had resurfaced? Why did he try to hide this from me?' Genji thought as he remembered spending over an hour subtly hacking into SHIELD to break through the firewall and gain access to the file, only to find out it was a partial file, the rest of which was restricted only to be viewed by Nick Fury himself.

As Genji looked over the file, he heard laughter next to him as he saw Ava, Luke, Danny, and Sam laughing over a picture on Sam's phone as Peter sat across from them, eating his food with an unamused look on his face.

"Ok, that I didn't need to see," Ava said, sliding into the seat next to Peter. "Why'd we find out about this from Fury and not you?" she asked.

"Um, because I just got here. You guys aren't my mommies and daddies," Peter said defensively.

"Stand together or fall alone, Pete. That's why we wanted to talk." Danny said, placing a hand on Pete's shoulder.

"You wanna talk?" Peter asked, pushing Danny's hand off his shoulder. "Let's talk about how you made me blow off my best friend," he said frustratedly before placing his hands on the table and standing up. "My time is my time. That was the deal I made with Fury," he said.

"We also made a deal to work together, remember?" Luke said.

"Yeah, you got a job now, Parker. You don't need to kiss up to moneybags anymore for cash." Sam said just as Harry approached them, making Harry angry as he slammed his tray full of food down onto the table and angrily walked away.

Peter glared at Sam, who seemed oblivious to what he did, before rushing off after Harry.

"There are many parts between the mind and the mouth. You should try using them sometime." Danny said, pointing to his head and mouth before pointing to Nova, who was still smiling.

Genji then smacked Sam on the back of the head, making him clutch his head in pain.

"Hey! What was that--?!" Sam trailed off as he looked at Genji, glaring menacingly at him. At that moment, while looking into Genji's eyes, he could've sworn he felt like a giant snake was coiled around him, ready to strike. Sam was so freaked out that he stumbled, getting up from his chair before running away as the others looked at Genji questioningly, but he just returned to his phone, ignoring them.

After school, Pete pitched the idea of going to a movie marathon at Harry's. Genji and the others weren't interested in the concept, but Pete made them go anyway.

"Think of it as a team bonding exercise. Just without the costumes and fighting and stuff." Peter said as the team exited the elevator after arriving at the penthouse.

"I don't need a new friend," Nova said.

"Maybe not, but if you guys are gonna invade my life, it's gonna be on my terms," Peter said as he used the knocker on the door to the penthouse. "Harry's cool. It's gonna be fun," Peter said as Flash Thompson opened the door.

"Flash?!" Peter exclaimed in surprise.

"Party!" Flash exclaimed, throwing open the doors and allowing the team to see a ton of people partying in Harry's house.

"Didn't see that coming," Peter said, shocked.

The team was quickly pulled inside as they stood around watching the party.
