CHAPTER 8 -
Nothing came out.
What? Wasn't I upset. Yes I was hurt, but why couldn't I cry. Now when it's most needed it doesn't come out. What is this? What was he doing to me, now I couldn't cry? No, you know what, I wasn't upset, I was angry. Yes, angry. I was seriously pissed off at him because after I had told him something no one knew about, something I never dared to tell anyone, and I told him, HIM. And this is what he does in return, tells me to 'go away'? Who does that?
I stood up and paced around what seemed a much smaller place to when I was little. But that was expected since I wasn't little anymore. Ughh, I was furious, I wanted to pull my hair out, it seemed so hot right now. What was I to do? Just leave it at this and go home? No, I was going straight back to his house to see what his problem was. With my mind made up, and the rage boiling inside me, I took one last look around this spot and left the way I came in. I crouched down and slid through the hedge to the other side of the park.
I walked with furry across the park, the hair from my bun coming out into a ponytail on my back. I was about to leave the park when a male figure came running towards me, I rolled my eyes, this was so not the time for someone to mess with me. I turned around arms crossed and tensed up one I saw who it was.
"Valerie, I was looking for you." Jonah said in what seemed to be an attempt at a deadly voice. My heart started throbbing faster from fear and I didn't really know what to do. My throat felt dry and I thought I was going to puke, my usual feeling around this pathetic waste of being.
"Stay away from me Jonah." I said lightly shaking my head, I was stunned to see how confident and clear my voice was, and by the looks of it, so was he. A surprised expression flashed on his face before he hid it with a smirk and begun walking closer to me.
"Why do that? There's no one around to see us, and no protector to stop us. " He begun to slide his finger up and down my arm giving me shivers of hatred.
"Don't touch me." I spat at him, gabbing my arm away from him, failing at that he gripped onto my wrist. I knew this was a risk to take but it was my only option if I didn't want to be stuck here in an empty park, with no one around. He'd do anything to get what he wants. His right hand was gripping tighter onto my left wrist and he pulled me closer to him.
"Don't talk to me like that Valerie." He said in a sing-song-voice, resembling to a horror movie.
I took this as the go ahead. I jabbed my knee into his balls making him grunt and bend down a little, to try and hold in the pain. Before it was too late I grabbed onto the wrist he was gripping my hands with and with all the force in me, I pulled on it hard and swung it around so his right arm was pinned to his back. I kicked his knees with whatever strength was left in me and he fell to the floor. He groaned as his face hit the dirt patch on the floor making me want to hurl, just to make sure he'd stay down I kicked him in the stomach and bent down to look him straight in the eyes with a look that scared me too, once I saw my reflection in his eyes.
"I said stay away from me Jonah." I stood back up and walked away, anger still bubbling inside me now from both Jonah and Adrian.
I ran past the other houses and ran right into Adrian's house. At this point I was walking angrily through the back door, across the backyard and I stopped at the door of the mini gym of his. The door was opened and I looked in to find all the way at the back, Adrian topless punching the red punching bag. I had now forgotten all the anger and frustration I had before by just staring at him. The way his biceps flexed when he moved, the way his sweat was dripping down his bare chest. The way his hair was now falling onto his face, little droplets falling onto his back as well. The way his eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes focused with a whole other story hidden deep in them. The way the light shun through the little window and created shadows on his body, the way you could now see the flecks of brown and green in his eyes, the way his body was wet and shiny. It was like a picture perfect moment, something you'd see in movies, or read about in books.
