I was currently standing in front of my bathroom mirror trying to fix my hair. I definitely was not ready for today, I hoped it was all a joke. After combing it back into a pony tail I placed a bow on the back of it, casually shrugging.

"You okay?" Jen, my dads current girlfriend questioned. I looked up to take a glance, how did she wake up perfectly fine?

"when am I?" I chuckled shoving my last minute things into my carry on bag.

"He feels bad you know" I could hear her coming closer to where I stood. Her existence just annoyed me at the moment.

"That's a first. I don't want to start my day off bad so can we just jet?" I begged taking a deep breath and grabbing my bags.

"Yeah of course" she whispered walking out. Before walking out I looked back glancing at the room and closing the door behind me.

I walked down the hall straight towards the front door. I could have driven myself to the airport but sense I'm kicked out my car was now "his"

I slid into Jens pick up being greeted by both my father and Jen. I tried avoiding contact in the truck with the two and blocked out their conversation.

I unlocked my phone sending Jack a text that I would be leaving soon.

To Jack: Hey I'm on my way to the airport now. Can't wait to see you guys!

I sent it to my mom as well in case Jack didn't get it. I haven't seen either of them in 5 months sense my moms wedding.

"And here we are" my dad sighed putting the truck in park. I didn't know whether to say bye or not, even if I'm pissed I guess a goodbye would be polite.

"Bye and uh thanks for the ride" I opened the door grabbing my bags and closing it. I began to walk away hoping he wouldn't step out behind me.

"Sophia!" he yelled closing the truck door. I close my eyes taking a couple of deep breaths and turning around.

"Have a safe flight kid" he smiled looking at me. I pretend to be distracted by something to break our eye contact.

"Thanks" I yelled turning around and continued walking until I was no longer in sight.
