Hi, Misbonet here

*waves

If you have finished my short story; thank you, and I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed writing it. :)

I started this story near the beginning of last year, during a time of my life that I can hardly remember now. It was a simple spark of inspiration that started a simple scene, and then the ball wouldn't stop rolling, as it does for most authors who come up with stories.

Coden had been my inspiration for all of it, he was the first character I made, and to be honest, he has a special place in my heart for how great he is.

I hadn't really meant to focus on him being that good of a person, but as I said, when the ball started rolling, it just flowed.

And then I started talking about the homeless situation. To be honest, I knew it existed, but I was never really ever worried about it. There were places offering help, and then I realized exactly what Coden was saying, those people might've had places to sleep at night, but they did not have a family. Thus, their project idea. (Obviously, I don't know if this idea would work IRL, it is basically just an 'in theory' type idea. Other scenes or ideas or purely fictional...but you already knew that.)

What I created was a family, and I know I have probably bored you enough, so I won't even begin talking about Cassie and Coden's relationship.

If anyone has any questions about the story or simply wants to talk about it, I'd be happy to.

As for the second book, I had never really thought of writing one. I've written tons of stories, and every time it has pained me to write the ending because I simply don't want to let the characters go, I promise I'm not crazy.

But I wrote their ending to be a little bit more free because it is simply what they are; they are free. They're honestly living my dream tbh.

I guess this story is what got me through that time of my life, I was feeling free then, and now I continue to be.

However...*smirk* I am not opposed to writing a spin-off or a second story on their adventures, and I can even picture it now, so whatever happens, will happen. Who are we to decide anything?

I could blabber on about the backstory and my feelings towards this book for days, but I won't.

So instead I will list some facts I think you'll enjoy while I was writing Homeless

- Coden and the overall vibe of his household is based on a single glass cherry soda bottle...yup

- I cried like seven times writing the ending, it wasn't that emotional but in the moment I was literally Cassie.

- I was gonna have more school scenes but I was happy writing this...did not want to be reminded of school days.

- I am wearing the same outfit that I finished the book as I started the book; also the inspo for their carefree outfits.

There's nothing else left to say but;

Thank you for giving this story a chance.  :)
