After lucifer killed lucifero, they announced to all devils about they killed lucifero and they are going to taking the throne. They set up some rules and they went to the overworld and propose to the higher ups in clover kingdom about having a gate that's connected to the underworld so that the devils can explore the overworld and the humans can visit the underworld.
The higher ups agreed but with a condition of setting up rules for the devils who comes to the overworld and same goes to the humans. After that they started to build something more similar towards human things. The devils gotten more sociable after lucifer took the throne.
1 and a half years after lucifer killed lucifero, the underworld became more and more lively and cheerful, it is now a different world from the world was fill with negative emotions. In a certain place, liebe is waiting for asta in front of a dark blue gate. after a few minutes, asta is running towards liebe in exhaustion.
"Dad was too worried about us going back to the overworld to visit clover kingdom, I bet he still doesn't fully trust the higher ups after they made an agreement. Anyways let's go to the overworld!" Asta said cheerfully as he goes into the gate with liebe following behind.
After they got out of the gate, they are in the middle of the forest in the grand magic zone where it's located near the border of clover kingdom. They went to hage to visit lichta's grave and father orsi, sister lily and nash's grave beside the church. Then they head toward the capital for a short shopping, the capital is back to normal with the devils help for buliding back the buildings from the damaged. they see devils and humans gets along together in the capital, some devils became a magic knight to keep the kingdom safe.
An hour later, they went to the black bulls base, once they open the door they see the base is as chaotic as usual. They saw magna shouting at luck for eating his pudding, gauche sits in the corner and simps for his little sister, gordon mumbling, vanessa got drunk from drinking liquor.
"Hey everyone! Long time no see, it has been 1 and a half year I met all of you! How are you all?!" Asta shouted cheerfully which gained all the black bulls attention. "Asta!" All of them shouted in unison as they open their grimoire, giving out a hostile intention. Just right in time Yami walk out to the main hall after using the toilet.
"What's going on, idiots!" Yami shouted at the black bulls who are looking at the direction of the door, then he only notice asta and liebe are in front of the door and the black bulls are being hostile towards the brothers.
"Oh the brat came back" yami said to himself then he say loudly to the brothers "Did both of you sneeked out from the underworld without your dad's noticing you!" "We got our dad's permission before entering the overworld" asta replied. The black bulls looks at their captain and asta in confusion, how their captain having a conversation with asta so causally.
"Huh? You all didn't know about my dad made an agreement with the higher ups to create a gate for the devils to enter the overworld?" Asta asks in surprise but he got hit on his head by liebe "You idiot, they are cautious of you attacking them like last time" liebe said
"Oooh, long story short, my inner demon was manipulating me the whole time until my dad aka the current king in the underworld helped me to deal with my inner demon. I won't attack you all anymore but I feel guilty for killing nero, I'm actually trying to atone my sins by making the world peaceful" Asta explained
The black bulls closed their grimoires and sighed in relief. "Yami-san, where is Nacht-san?" Asta asked curiously "He's probably at his usual place" Yami puffed out the smoke before replying asta. Asta and liebe heads to the entrance but before they got out of the base, the black bulls ask if they want to stay in the base for awhile, but asta and liebe declined politely then they left the base and headed to the abandoned house where faust family lived. They went to the basement and saw Nacht sitting at the edge of the platform.
"Nacht-san, how are you?" Asta greeted him "... I am fine like usual, what brings you here?" Nacht asks "hm... I just feel like visiting you, thats all" asta said and nacht just kept quiet. "Why didn't you stay in the black bulls base?" Asta asks "I hate them, they reminds me of the previous me that I hate. I killed my brother from my greediness" Nacht replied
"I know heo it feels to bear a sin that you can't clear for killing someone precious to you, but you still have your precious friend. You saved him because you don't want to lose him" asta tries to comfort nacht, after awhile he managed to persuade nacht to stay in the black bulls base together with the other black bulls.
Asta and liebe stayed at the overworld until the sun is setting. When they arrived back, they saw lucifer sitting in his office doing his paperwork all alone. (TᴜT)
"Dad, we're back! Do you need any help? How about you get some rest?" Asta ask lucifer concernedly. Lucifer looks at the brothers tiredly then he only answer asta "yeah, sure thing, I'll take a short break from it. I got tired from doing paperworks. I swear, I have to take a day break from these paperworks" lucifer said tiredly.
"Let's go to the overworld together for a break next time" asta suggested as they walk out of the office, they headed towards the balcony in the dinning area and took a cup of drink to enjoy.
"It's been 2 years since the trial happened and so many things happened in these 2 years... it was a mess for 6 months after the trial. I'm glad i didn't fully get manipulated by my demonic self and try to get revenge at clover kingdom, my hatred towards clover kingdom subsided too" asta mumbled to himself and took a sip of his drink as he look at the view of the underworld being lively.
"What were you mumbling, asta?" Liebe asks curiously and lucifer looks at his sons. "Hm? Nothing, it's just I'm looking forward what will happen in the future" asta said and smiled
