The captains was having a meeting about the tree of qliphoth events, surprisingly the black bulls who was in the is there too. The captains starts quarrelling until Nacht comes out of the shadow and interrupt them. Some of the captains are ready to attack but Nacht used his devil to restrain them from attacking him. "He is the black bulls' vice captain. He has been acting as a spy in the spade kingdom. But I didn't know he is a devil posessed." Julius did a quick introduction for Nacht.
"Asta handed me a recording for when the tree of qliphoth is gonna occur and why he attacked the kingdom. I'll give the information about the tree of qliphoth as much as I could." Nacht said "Yami and Vangence will be sacrificed and the core of the ritual. There is 7 levels for the tree of qliphoth, it takes 7 days to fully open all the gates but with a devil or a devil hybrid, it will fasten the ritual. When the gates are fully open, Yami and Vangence will die." (I know the tree of qliphoth in canon but just let me change it to make the story more interesting. Leave me alone)
"But before letting you all listen to the recording, Asta told me about there's resistance forces in spade kingdom that oppose dark triad came to clover kingdom. One of them came to clover kingdom in secret and I believe he's at your place, isn't it right, the spade kingdom prince, Yuno Grinberryall?" Nacht said, everyone in the room is surprised. Yuno explained about the resistance force member is a servent of the spade royal family and saying the servant might know the castle's design and the enemy. But Jack interrupt him doubting the servant is a hostile spy.
Yuno starts saying about how Vangence protect the golden dawn while fighting with Zenon. He tries to deny it with determination, then Nacht interrupt them by clearing his throat. "All right, I don't hate people like you. Now we should listen to the recording."
*me lazy to rewrite what asta said in last chapter so let's skip that explaining part*
After hearing the recording, everyone feel bad for what Asta has been through. The whole room is in silence until Nacht breaks the silence. "The captains should go to spade kingdom in 2 days. Also at least 1 captain need to stay back to protect the kingdom if anything happens. You all need to get stronger within these 2 days if you want to save Yami and Vangence." Nacht says 'but you can't save Asta... if you keep trying to save him, the situation might get worse than what we are going to expect.' Nacht thought before he leaves the meeting room.
The room is back to silence but the black bulls and Yuno are filled with determination to get their captains back and probably Asta too. "We can ask the heart kingdom for their help too" Fuegoleon said "Sure, but we couldn't be able to contact them since yesterday." Charlotte replied him, suddenly Nacht appears from the shadow again. "I forgot to tell you, Vanica might have attack to the heart kingdom yesterday." Nacht said and he went back into the shadow again.
An hour later, the captains' meeting ended. The black bulls went back to their base and start prepare for their training. While Yuno went to a mountain in the forest to get stronger and planning how to defeat Zenon. Langris came out of the forest when Yuno sensed his mana. He offers his help to train and surprisingly Yuno did not decline him.

With Asta, he went to the church where he grew up at. He also picked up some flowers while heading there. The church is now abandoned, there are tall grass and vines around the church, Asta went in there to see if there's any changes in the church. In the church, all the furnitures are covered in a thick layer of dust.
Asta remembers when he is 5 years old he comfort Yuno whenever he cries. He keep confessing at Sister Lily and sister Lily always use her holy fist spell. He smiled while thinking back of those memories, then he headed to father Orsi, sister Lily and Nash's grave to pay respect. He lay down the flowers in front of the stones.
'I have to protect the rest and completely end this tree of qliphoth before I fully lost my humanity. I wish I could revive or reincarnate you all with my magic but my magic couldn't do it.' Asta thought in regret, a tear came out from the corner of his left eye while both of his eyes flash red but it turn back to green but the edge of the irises are red.

Suddenly he has a headache and a buring pain is in his both eyes. He uses his hand to hold his head while enduring the pain.
"Hey Asta, it is almost night time. We should go back or else the dark triad will get suspicious of us." Liebe remind him after the pain subsided. Asta just nod weakly then he open a portal to his room in the spade kingdom castle.
A/N: the first short chapter of this book... I'M SORRY FOR THE SHORT CHAPTER, I DID NOT HAVE THE MOTIVATION AND IDEA TO WRITE AND I'M KINDA INTO PUBG RECENTLY (I started playing a few days ago)
