Lillian arrived at the Gallagher house, and found everyone gone, except for one person. Frank. He was currently sleeping the previous night off to prepare for tonight, in what seemed like a very uncomfortable position, but it was best to just leave him there until he woke for his next round of events. Even though he was a terrible father to all his kids, Lillian always weirdly admired him. On the nights he choose to be a nice drunk, he would always make sure everyone was having fun, on the occasion he would give some damn good advice, even if it was completely random, it was pretty good. But this is what Lillian thought as her father figure most days. She wasn't exactly proud to say that, but she did occasionally.
Lillian made her way to the kitchen, finding the fridge, she opened the door finding a cold beer inside she took it and popped the cap, taking a big sip. The house was completely silent, a scarce occasion, especially for a Saturday. She knew it was going to end soon. Especially since Fiona walked in through the back door.
"Hey Lilly, whatcha doin'?" Fiona was pleased to see her, she considered Lillian as a sister that she didn't have to take care of.
"Well I was going to apologize to Lip when he gets home, but I don't want to." Lillian looked over to Fiona.
"Wasn't today the day that he promised to do something with you?" The older girl sat down next to the younger one.
"It was, but he double booked, he promised to go on a date with Karen."
"He'll come around eventually," Fiona stood up, and kissed the girl's head before making her way up the wooden hill, Lillian heard the back door open and shut, but felt no need to look back at whoever came in.
"Are you here to argue?" Lillian shrugged her shoulder, she still didn't turn to look at the boy.
"Just thought that today meant more to you than what was." Lillian's words cut Lip's heart in what felt like half.
"Some things change Lills, I'm sorry I forgot." Lip walked over to the fridge and grabbed himself a beer, then leaned his torso against the counter. His words weren't sincere.
"What does she have that is so interesting to you, that made you forget that you already planned something with someone else?" Lillian's eyes flashed up to his. "Is the sex that fucking good that, you're so deep in her that you forget you have a best friend? Lately, you've been blowing me off to hang out with her, throwing me like a damn rag doll with no emotions. When you know damn well if I ever pulled this shit on you you'd hate it just as much."
"Lillian, my priorities don't just surround you. I have can have more than one friend, and I don't always have to hang out with just you. Honestly, you just need to get over yourself, what you're doing isn't cool and it certainly isn't cute. But you are going to have to accept that she is in my life right now at least, and I think I'm starting to fall in love with her."
"Never asked for your priorities to be pointed at me, all I asked is that I'm somewhere in those. It doesn't matter if I'm number ten on that damn list. Because for me you are definitely in my top five." Lillian rolled her eyes.
"I feel like talking to you is damn near impossible sometimes Lillian! It seems like lately, all you wanna do is fucking argue with not only me but also Karen, if she bothers you that much, then, maybe we should just not be fucking friends any longer." Lip shrugged, trying to play it off cool, but he hated every single word that just fell from his lips and landed on hers.
The tears in Lillian's eyes welled up as she just nodded. Her heart felt as if she completely shattered.
"Maybe we should just stop being friends." Lillian stood from the stool she was sitting on and walked out of the Gallagher house.
..
Lillian wasn't quite sure how she has made it this far without apologizing to Lip or dying. But she has managed to do both. She was completely miserable and decided to spend most of her days in her bed, with the lights off, and the blinds closed. She barely has gotten up to eat. She didn't know that removing Lip from her life was the worst thing that could happen to her. She hasn't been to school in what feels like a month.
Lillian was facing the wall on her bed, when the door opened, then closed.
"Lills?" His voice was gentle as he sat on her bed.
"Go away Lip." Tears warmed her cheeks as they ran down.
"Look Lills, I'm sorry for saying those things to you. I had my head up her ass."
"What did she do?" Lillian turned around, pulling the covers up a little more.
"That's not important."
"Yes it is Lip because if she didn't do anything you wouldn't be here, so what did she do?"
"I found out that she was sleeping with other guys. But anyways I want to say I'm sorry for what happened, you are a priority to me I hope you know that."
