Elsa took glances at each of her sisters, she noticed that both girls have truly grown up into beautiful young women, and....she missed the chance watching them grow up or getting to grow with them.
She knew she had to say something to catch with them, after all it's been so long, and she wanted to make up for lost time.
"Hi.", Elsa started with a gentle smile. "Hi...Hi us...?", Elsa nods, "Um...Hi.", Nora replied back, looking down to the floor and twiddling with her fingers, shyly . Both girls were shocked, they could hardly remember the last time, they talked to Elsa.
"You both look beautiful.", Elsa complimented them and smiled, "Thank You" Nora said returning the smile. "You look beautifuler. I mean, not fuller. You don't look fulle-" Anna awkwardly complimented, rambling a bit, Nora knew she had to help her, so she interrupted her and interjected "She means you look more beautiful, Elsa".
"Thank you.", she said, before turning her attention back to the guest celebrating "So, this is what a party looks like?", she asked, "It's warmer than I thought." Anna said as her sisters nodded in agreement.
"And what is that amazing smell?" Nora asked, as all 3 sisters close their eyes, and inhaled the smell, then open their eyes to look at each other.
"Chocolate!" they all laughed, as Anna is about to say something Kai interrupts them "Your Majesty. The Duke of Weaseltown.", he introduced.
"Weselton!", the royal interjected before continuing "The Duke of Weselton. Your Majesty, as your closest partner in trade, it seems only fitting that I offer you your first dance as Queen." the Duke does a little fiddle with his feet then as he bows his head and holds out his hand his toupe tips forward, revealing his baldness, making all three sisters giggle, then Elsa clears her throat.
"Uh...thank you, only I don't dance.", Elsa excused herself, before Nora gave her glance, tilting her head towards Anna, they both smiled in agreement.
"But, our sister does!", Nora said, walking towards her and placing her hand on her shoulders, Elsa nodded in agreement, Anna laughs then realizes what Nora has offered,"What?".
"Lucky you" the Duke said taking her hand and pulling, before Anna could reject, it was too late. She looked back at her sisters in desperation.
"Sorry" they both said, before giggling with one another.
Timeskip from the Dancing
"Well, he was sprightly" Nora teased "Ah! Especially for a man in heels." Anna said, still rubbing her feet. "Are you okay?", Elsa asked. "I've never been better. This is so nice. I wish it could be like this all the time.", Anna said smiling towards her big sister, Nora nodding in agreement.
"Me too..." Elsa said returning the smile, then she catches herself, stiffens and looks away "But it can't.", both sisters eyes widened "Why not?" they both said. Anna went to touch Elsa's shoulder, but she pulled away "It just can't!", she exclaimed.
Anna and Nora eyes widened, they looked at her heartbroken. "Excuse me for a minute.", Anna says sadly, before walking into the crowd.
Nora looked down at her shoes, and started walking away from Elsa. "Nora, I-" Elsa tried to converse with her, but Lisbet made no eye contact and interjected "Just leave me alone, please." you're good at that, she said and thought to herself as she walked into the crowd, cold, alone, and heartbroken, how could Elsa just shut her out again.
