Gruesome

The next week plays out about the same as all the others. My right arm is encased in this tight compression like sleeve, and I can hardly move it. Taehyung has been incredibly sweet helping me when I needed it. For the first few days I was too stubborn and didn't ask for help. After he witnessed me struggling a few times he began helping me before I even asked.

Tae would help me put my hair up or help me straighten it. He really is the sweetest man I've ever known. I may not have any siblings, but he is the closest thing to a brother I could have. And I love him with all of my heart.

When you're right-handed and you're restricted you have to adapt. So, my left hand has become way more capable lately. I'm even able to do my makeup with my left hand now. Eyeliner too! It's amazing what practice and conditioning can do.

"What are my meetings for today Taehyung?" I ask my adorable assistant. He gets up from his desk and strolls over to me. He pulls out his phone and his finger scrolls through the information. "You've got the commercial with Lisa review, then a product approval and then a meeting about this year's finances so far." I sigh deeply.

"I feel like I live my whole life in a meeting," I complain to Taehyung, and he smiles sweetly. "Important women must do important things." I roll my eyes at him. Tae laughs at my response and walks over to me. He rolls my office chair away from my desk and sits his heavy butt into my lap. "Agh! Taehyung you're heavy!" He giggles delightfully.

"You can always step down and let someone else run the company. You don't have to do everything yourself." He informs me and plays with a strand of my hair that's resting against my shoulder. "And have someone run my company into the ground? I think not!" I laugh sarcastically. I'd rather die than let my company be ruined by anyone's hands than my own. I put my blood, sweat and tears into my legacy and I'll not let it go without a fight.

"Okay, okay, calm down." Tae teases me and pushes my forehead with his finger like a button. His desk phone starts ringing and he hops off my legs to go answer it. I'm thankful, his boney butt was painful on my thighs. I rub my legs briefly while I listen to his deep voice answer the phone.

"Oh alright, I'll inform her. Thank you." Taehyung hangs up the phone and revisits my desk. "They're here for the shipment of Luna Cream for Dr. Jeon's office." I nod to his words. "Go take care of that please, I need to send some emails." Taehyung nods and walks out of my office.

I pull up my email tab and begin typing. I hear the elevator ding in my office, and I look up. Did Taehyung forget something?

My eyes burst wide open when I see Jimin walking out of the elevator. His eyes gazing around each corner of the room until he sees me sitting inside my glass box office. He gives me the smallest smile and my heart races.

Jimin walks into my office slowly and it's as if he is walking in slow motion. He looks like an angel sent straight from heaven to torture me. His beauty was baffling. "Well, well, look who I found." He smirks and I swallow deeply, suddenly nervous. "How did you get up here?" I whisper, my words not having the strength to be loudly heard. He chuckles lightly.

"I asked your receptionist down stairs. I flashed her my smile and she told me exactly how to get here." I stare at him, mystified. Of course my female receptionist would crumble under his charm. My eyes graze each gorgeous feature of his face as his eyes run across objects in my office. I'm speechless.

"Who's this?" He asks softly as he picks up a framed photo of Taehyung and I from several years ago. We looked like babies; it was one of my favorite photos with him. "M-My best friend." I stutter out, my eyes still locked onto him. I couldn't rip them away. He was so captivating and stunning that my eyes sought only him out.

Jimin sets the frame back down and leans towards me across my desk. "I didn't want to wait two weeks to see you. So, here I am." I blink rapidly at him. I stand up quickly and roll my chair away from me with my legs. I'm starting to panic; I can't think straight. My body was involuntarily leaning towards him, and I had to pull myself back.

Walking around the side of my desk, Jimin approaches me. I run around the opposite side, he giggles, and it sounds like the most beautiful wind chime. "Are you running from me again?" I shake my head, trying to deny the fact. But it was true, I was trying to escape his intense stare.

"Oh, don't lie to me. You know you can run all you like. I love a challenge." He gives me a dark smirk and I feel my stomach detonate into butterflies. My eyes fall down to his full lips, that smirk was dangerous. It was calling my name like the sweetest poison.

Jimin lunges quickly and catches my wrist loosely before I can jerk away. My eyes are impossibly wide as I look down to his hand and back to his eyes. "Don't be frightened, I'd never hurt you. I just want you to go on one date with me. Just one single date. That's all I'm asking." He smiles sweetly, his eyes disappearing into small crescents.

"No." I tell him flatly, trying to stay true to my resolve. He sighs and then tsks at me. "You can deny your feelings all you want, but I see how you look at me. Your pupils dilate and your face flushes." My face bursts into red embarrassment at his words.

Moving his hand around my wrist, he pulls me close to him. Jimin leans his face in slowly and his lips are so close to mine. I can feel his warm breath lightly on my face. My heart stopped completely; I might be legally dead. I stare at his lips and watch as they slowly form a smirk.

"Curious, aren't you?" He teases me.
