I let out a long sigh as I pull off one of my stiletto heels. I wince slightly as I curl my toes, trying to get the aching to go away. I hear Jimin's sweet laughter beside me, I look up at him. "Beauty comes at a price, doesn't it?" I nod at his question. "Yes, I love heels, but they don't love me." He laughs again.
Jimin pats his lap, "Bring your feet up here, I can help." He's giving me such an innocent smile; I react without thinking. Honestly, a foot massage would be heavenly. I sit sideways and pull up my feet onto the bench and rest them on his legs. "You don't mind?" I ask him as he grabs my right foot and squeezes it with his hands. "Nope, I'm happy to help."
He's digging his fingers into the balls of my feet, and it feels so great. They were so achy that the massage was bringing my feet back to life. I have to hold back my moan because it feels so amazing. A foot rub after wearing heels is almost orgasmic. Jimin giggles as he watches me close my eyes. "Feel better?" I nod slowly.
Jimin grabs my left foot and massages it now. "I'm surprised you're letting me touch any part of you." He murmurs and my eyes shoot open. I look at him, perplexed. "Why?" He sighs and then smirks. "I could have sworn you hated me." My eyebrows pull together at his words. Hate him? How could I hate him?
"I don't hate you. Dating is just difficult for me." Jimin nods and buries his thumbs into the balls of my foot. "Because of your status?" I nod and then shake my head, caught off-guard by the question. "No, not that. Something else." Jimin releases my feet, and they feel phenomenal now. Completely renewed. I slide them back into my heels.
"What do you mean?" He asks me, cutely tilting his head. I was secretly thanking the Hippocratic Oath that Dr. Jeon has to take. He can't discuss any patient related information with anyone. "I'd rather not talk about it," I tell him, and he nods, understanding. He was sweet not to pry.
"Ready to walk again?" I stand up and smile, I felt brand new. "Yes! Let's go." Jimin smirks at me and stands beside me.
We begin walking again and I can't help but admit this is nice. Jimin seems different than other guys. He reminds me a lot of Taehyung. He seems very caring and gentle. Most guys by now would be trying to make out with me or ask me to come back to their house. But Jimin wasn't pressuring me at all, and I really appreciated that.
Suddenly a little girl bumps into Jimin's legs and she looks up at him, crying her eyes out. He bends down to her. "What's wrong?" Jimin asks the little girl, looking around. "I-I-I c-can't find m-my mommy!" She sniffles out through her tears. My eyebrows furrow and I bend down beside her next. "What does your mommy look like? What color is she wearing?"
The little girl looks at me and stares for a moment, as if in deep thought. "M-Mommy is w-wearing pink and black." I nod at her description.
Jimin uses his sleeve and wipes away her tears. "We'll help you find your mom." She sniffles and smiles. "Thank you mister." My heart sank into my chest at the way Jimin was smiling at the little girl. It was too precious for my soul to handle.
The tiny girl grabs Jimin's hand and drags him back the direction she came from. I follow along with them, enjoying this sight too much. Jimin looked incredibly squishy soft holding this girl's hand.
The three of us walk side by side, I'm scanning each woman I see. And just when it seems like we might never find her, I see a woman in a pink top with black jeans sobbing. "Ma'am?" I call to her, and she stops her crying and sees her daughter beside us. "Tiffany!" She screams and scoops up the little girl. They are both smiling so brightly as they huge each other.
"Thank you so much! We've never been to New York, it's so crazy busy here. She was gone in an instant!" I smile to her, happy that the two were reunited. "No problem." Jimin tells her and she offers us a reward but we both deny it.
"Just be more careful next time!" Jimin tells her with the brightest smile that his eyes disappear. I can't help but smile as well.
We part with the mother and daughter, and I figure the date needs to end. I was starting to develop feelings for Jimin, and this was dangerous. Seeing how sweetly he handled that little girl was tugging so hard at my heart. This was risky.
"I think I'll go back home now," I say softly, Jimin turns his attention back to me, he was watching the mother and daughter leave. "Oh, alright." He throws his arm into the air and catches the attention of a taxi driving by. "Thank you," I smile at him.
The taxi pulls up to the curb and Jimin looks at me with an unreadable expression. It's like he wants to say so much but refuses to do so. He swallows and I can visibly see how tense his body just became. Jimin leans in and aims his lips at mine. I stare at him for a moment, trying to figure out if I'm ready for that or not. I'm not.
I turn my head and his plush lips land on my cheek, he chuckles lightly. "I knew you'd do that." I give him an apologetic look and shrug my shoulders. "Sorry..."
"When can I see you again?" Jimin asks me, his eyebrows up high with his hopes. I didn't want to hurt him, but he would be hurt worse if we continued. And so would I.
"I don't know." I tell him truthfully; I hear his alto voice sigh. "Alright, well you have my number. You contact me if you want to, not your assistant." I nod to his words. "Okay, thanks for today Jimin, it was nice. I actually had fun." He nods sadly. I think he knew. Knew I would never contact him again.
"Me too, see you around." He whispers and turns around to leave. I watch him for a moment. My heart was begging, pleading that I go after him. But my brain wouldn't let me. I couldn't get wrapped up in him, it wouldn't end well.
