Chapter 7: His Birthday

It's been a rough for Gregorio. The people around them started to judge after hearing the deceptions he did to her.

"That's why he married Irene for business lang pala."

It affects him alot he didn't meant what just happened, he really loves Irene but this time he becomes hopeless for another chances to her.

"Greggy Happy Birthday! finally nakabalik kana ng office nag alala naman kami sayo, kamusta nga pala kayo ni Irene?" Buddy greeted him upon seeing him.

"Wala eh hindi kami okay mukhang hindi nga to happy ang birthday ko." He unenergetically shared.

"Ang dami na nagdaan sa inyo lilipas din yan."

"I am really hoping na maging maayos lahat, i will do my best to do everything mapatawad nya lang ako"

His mind is like in the midst of crisis he didn't know what to do he want that if he make a steps for letting Irene back to him it will not bring him to dissapointment.

Irene resting in her room together with Alfonso. "Irene ano? paano na kayo ni Greggy?" Bea asked upon entering Irene's room.

"Hindi ko, alam ayoko naman maapektuhan yung bata siguro we will just give each other time na hindi kami magkita. " She stated, Irene felt so heavy.

Nothing special on his birthday today his staff and employees greeted him and even his business partners sending him a message of greetings but he is still not happy and  he decided to went on Irene new residencial in Taguig to visit her hoping for another chances, he stood in front of her house's gate with a bouquet of pink peonies on his hand. He reached out for the door bell and waited for her to come out.

She peeked into the window, a prickle on her chest was felt again as soon as he saw him outside. She went out and coldly opened the gate.

He smiled brightly, every time he sees her like it's still his first time to lay eyes on her. "Hello, Irene." He greeted her.

She glowered at the bouquet he was holding before she looked at his face. "What are you doing here?" She asked aloofly.

He still kept his positivity on his self  hoping for another chance and he smiled tried to hand her the bouquet. "Para sa'yo bulaklak."

A surly look manifested in her

"Para saan yan? hindi naman ako humihingi ng bulaklak, hindi ko yan kailangan." She exclaimed.

"Today is my birthday  I just want to give you a bouquet of flowers because I just want you to be happy this time."  He brought up reminding her of the special occasion.

She sneered, "You want me to be happy? iniistorbo mo ako sinisira mo yung araw ko." His heart broke. "Kung akala mo magiging maayos tayo kasi Birthday mo pwes hindi, hindi kita obligasyon at hindi ko obligasyon na makipag ayos sayo dahil lang sa birthday mo!" She scolded him.

He was partly guilty of it, he thought she wouldn't diss him and reject his efforts because it was his birthday but just like she said, he was wrong about it.

"I'm really Sorry, gusto lang naman sana kita makausap." He apologized and bowed his head feeling so bad for annoying her with his sudden presence. "Eh kung ayoko? Ano? Obligasyon ko pag-aksayahan ka ng oras para makipag-usap sayo dahil birthday mo? Gregorio naman." She exhaled sharply sounding so disappointed in him.

He exhaled feeling so much like a big failure, "Pasensya ka na ha. Namimiss ko lang kase na kausap ka. Akala ko pwede pa natin maibalik yung dating tayo kahit para nalang kay Alfonso."
