Chapter 4: Spitting Bullets

It was a typical friday morning he go early in his office for another work day, he was busy lately and he is aware that he is losing time to the two love of his life.

"Grabe laging napapa aga si Kuya sa pag pasok ng office lately siguro ang daming nakatambak na papers." Elvira uttered.

"Maybe it is, at isa pa hindi pa ata tapos yung problema nya doon about sa kay Carlos." Irene replied.

"Hindi ka ba nagtatampo about it lagi syang maaga umaalis hindi nga makapag good bye sa inyong dalawang mag ina."

"Well naiintindihan ko naman sya, matampuhin din akong tao pero  iniisip ko nalang siguro normal nalang yon ang importante alam ko ginagawa nya." She said.

"Well you're right sabihin mo lang kapag may problema ka kay Gregorio ipapa sampal ko sya kay ate Patricia."

"Really? c'mon Elvira you know only me can slap Gregorio." Irene giggled.

                                  ㅡ

"Gregorio i noticed lately you are not focused into your work medyo bumaba yung graph natin ng 3% can you just atleast magfocus ka muna sa trabaho inuuwian mo naman si Irene gabi-gabi and what's the other reason na hindi ka pumapasok minsan?" His aunt complaining again about his absence for 1 consecutive week.

"Tita kasi..."

"Gregorio i am also a shareholder here and i don't want every drop of my shares wasted so please alagaan mo ang company malaki na si Irene alam nya na ang ginagawa nya." She uttered.

Ingrid the aunt of Gregorio went to Irene for a conversation, she was quite strict and had these isnabera face at all.

"Tita finally you visit here" Irene gracefully smile at her while meeting her at the front porch as she stepped out from the car.

"Well hindi rin naman ako magtatagal dito i will just leave some words."

"Tita let's get inside i will prepare you a drink." Irene said.

"No hija let just talk here outside as I said hindi rin naman ako magtatagal."

Now it changes alot of mood and it tooks Irene to be serious and silent.

"Well Irene lately Gregorio I found out was too busy clinging in you at napapabayaan ang kompanya he really focused alot to you which is hindi naman dapat kasi malaki kana and well siguro hindi ka naman mamamatay pag pumasok si Gregorio sa trabaho diba?"

"Yes and ㅡ"

"And be thankful pinatulan ka pa ni Gregorio despite the issues of your family, so please wag mo naman abusuhin ang pagiging bulag ni Gregorio sayo hindi ka naman talaga dapat bagay sa kanya but then hindi ko alam kung ano nakita ng pamangkin ko sayo and yes you are beautiful but you are not worth enough into our family." And she leave without any sequence of spaces.

Irene felt bad of what she heard it kills her dignity and confidence overall.

It was night and Irene laying in bed next to Alfonso she can still hear what was Ingrid have said to her and it echoed in her two ears.

"Alfonso I will bring you tomorrow to Ilocos doon muna tayo."

Gregorio opened the room and saw them both at the bed and Irene was completely silent.

"Did you take your dinner darling?"
He recieve no repsonse.

"Are you sleepy?" he followed.
The whole room has been covered with silence and he looked at her to see what she was doing.

"I will go home in Ilocos tomorrow with Alfonso." She speaked and fell asleep.

Early morning she woke up and went into the kitchen she met Gregorio having his coffee their eyes met and she look away from his glance. Greggy knows there is something wrong the way she take her silence lately. "Irene i made you a coffee inumin mo na yan bago pa lumamig." He said.

"Wag na kakain nalang ako ng sandwich bago kami umalis naka ready na lahat ng gamit namin ni Alfonso maliligo nalang ako." She uttered.

"What? aalis talaga kayo?" He was surprised that she will really do it and he was against it.

"Yes of course mabuti kasi doon sa Ilocos malinis ang hanging that is good for Alfonso."

"Irene what's wrong i noticed you since last night the way you talk me seem very cold, what's the problem?" He asked.

She approached him and kissed him at  the lips "Nothing, gusto ko lang dalhin si Alfonso sa Ilocos." she leaves him at the kitchen and she ready herself and Alfonso for the flight.

He has nothing to do with it was like his mouth was locked to say No into something she wants that it was against on his feelings.

"Ihahatid ko na kayo sa airport." He .

"Wag na baka ma late ka pa sa office mo kami nalang nandiyan rin naman si kuya Bong Bong naghihintay sa amin sa airport." She responsed and leave him standing outside the front porch.

She didn't know what to feel if she will becomes downcast or indignant about it, she cry alot inside the car while she carried Alfonso and as they arrived in airport Bong Bong met them and took their flight together at the airport.

"What causes you to go home in Ilocos with my pamangkin?" Bong Bong asked.

"Wala naman gusto ko lang lately ng new environment with Alfonso." She answered.

"C'mon Irene we are siblings pagtataguan mo pa ba ako ng nararamdaman mo?"

"No kuya ayoko lang kasi napapabayaan ni Greggy yung trabaho nya so i moved with Alfonso for good."

"Did he know this na umalis ka?" He asked while looking at his sister's eye he knows how hurt she is, he knows that this is not just a simple travel moving for good.

"Oo naman kuya nagpaalam ako, i told him na wag nalang kami ihatid kasi nandiyan ka naman." She slightly smile.

They are now arrived at the residence after a long flight now she take rest at the room with Alfonso.

With the deep sigh she close her eyes and think what are the steps to do to remove all the frustrations of what she have heard into Greggy's aunt.

She suddenly felt guilty why she met Greggy and she had many questions why she let Greggy loved her and why she also let herself loved him, her mind was too chaotic and  with all of frustrations she felt and she blamed herself, she is thinking of she was just ruining Greggy's life and career it was just she is giving him an embarrassment and so she planned of something.
