"So we move to Boston...why?" My 16-year-old son Chase asked as we pulled into the driveway to our new house with the moving truck behind us.

"Because I decided we needed a new, fresh start after your dad...." I said not finishing the sentence as I parked the car.

"Mom, you can talk to me about it. I miss him too." Chase said and I sighed and I gave him a half smile.

"I know, it's just New York had too many memories. I'm sorry to uproot you at 16 but the therapists said it would be a good idea to get new surroundings." I said as we got out of the car. I gave Chase the house keys.

"Go unlock the door for the movers." I said and he rushed to the door. I looked in the back seat to our dog, Rascal who was sleeping soundly and I smiled at the memory of getting him.

*****FLASHBACK, 5 YEARS AGO*****

It was Chase's 11th birthday and my husband Wade had been missing all day, out getting his present. Once he walked in the house I saw the box and instantly started shaking my head.

"No Wade, we said we would talk about this! This is not discussing it." I said and he groaned.

"Come on, this is all he has asked for since his birthday 3 years ago. Every boy should have a dog." Wade said and I groaned.

"Fine but you and him are picking up after it. I am not doing anything for it." I said and Wade smiled.

"Fine, that's fine." Wade said and I just shook my head and looked in the box. I saw a puppy that looked just like a mutt but clearly had some German Shepard in him and smiled.

"He is adorable." I said and Wade leaning in to kiss me.

"I love you." Wade said and I shook my head rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, prove it to me later." I said and he groaned.

*****END FLASHBACK*****

The dog that was supposed to be my son and husband's dog turned out to be mine and constantly want me. Chase came running back out to the car smiling.

"I picked my room." Chase said and I smiled.

"You picked one upstairs right?" I am taking the one on the main floor." I said and he nodded.

"Yes mom." Chase said and I smiled.

"Why don't you check out the backyard and take Rascal with you." I said and he smiled. He got the dog from the car and we all headed to the backyard and freaking out.

"WE HAVE A POOL!" Chase yelled and I smiled.

"We do." I said and he went to jump in.

"I DON'T THINK SO!" I yelled and we both laughed and he stopped and Rascal started barking and running around excited as well.

"He finally had a yard to play in." Chase said and I nodded.

"I know, he will love it here." I said and Chase smiled. He walked over to me and hugged me. I was shocked but accepted his hug.

"I'm sorry if I gave you shit about this move mom. I know it was needed." Chase said and I nodded.

"Hey, mouth. And it really was needed buddy." I said as we hugged. Once we walked back in the house I saw a women looking around and I smiled knowing who it was.

"Hey Tara." I said and she smiled. She was my realtor. We had met previously when I made a trip to Boston to look at the house.

"Hey, I knew this was your move in day and I wanted to check and make sure everything is okay." Tara said and I smiled.

"That's sweet. We just got here and just waiting to get settled." I said and she nodded. Rascal came running in from outside and straight up to Tara.

"Sorry." I said going to pull him back.

"It's okay, probably smells my friends dog on me. I just left their place." Tara said and I smiled.

"Well this is Rascal. He is supposed to be my son's dog but he only listens to me." I said and Tara laughed.

"That's how it always works." Tara said and I smiled. Her cellphone rang and she rolled her eyes.

"I have to take this, it's about a listing. Listen I was planning on going out tomorrow night with some friends of mine for some drinks. Would you like to join us? I know you are new to town and everything." Tara said.

"Yeah, sure." I said and smiled. About that time Chase came walking in with his most prized possession his dad bought him right before he died. He wouldn't trust the movers with it, it was in our car the entire ride.

"A Captain America shield?" Tara asked.

"Yeah an actual replica from Endgame. My dad got it for me. I'm a huge Chris Evans fan." Chase said and I just gave a small smile.

"Yeah huge." I said and Tara laughed.

"You know he is from Boston." Tara said and Chase nodded.

"Oh he knows, he keeps thinking we will run into him eventually." I said and Tara shrugged.

"You never know, he is always here a lot. I have run into him a couple of times." Tara said and Chase looked at me.

"MOM!" Chase said and I just smiled.

"I know, I know." I said and shook my head.

"You have just given him such high hopes." I said and Tara laughed.

"It's a good dream to have." Tara said as Chase ran up to his room.

"Okay well I do have to go but I will text you a place and time for tomorrow." Tara said and I smiled.

"Sounds good, I cant wait." I said and I walked Tara out. I walked upstairs and saw Chase setting up somethings in his room since the movers had everything from his room moved in. Rascal was laying on the floor by the window.

"You okay?" I asked as I saw a sad look on Chase's face.

"I just have good memories with this shield." Chase said and I nodded.

"I know. Did I ever tell you what he went through to get that shield for you?" I asked and Chase shook his head.

"Remember that trip he took to California that I told you was for that convention?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah..." Chase said and I shook my head.

"There was a Hollywood movie prop sale and he saw the shield was going to be auctioned off and he knew he needed it for you." I said and Chase smiled.

"We loved watching those movies together." Chase said and I smiled.

"Hey, I know I'm not your dad but if you ever want to watch them I will watch them with you." I said and Chase smiled.

"Really? From the beginning?" Chase asked and I sighed.

"Yes, from the beginning." I said and he smiled.

"Tonight? Chinese and the first captain America film?" Chase asked.

"Sounds perfect." I said and we headed downstairs as the movers were finishing up.
