Daisies and a Date

The next morning I woke up with Rascal in my bed and I moaned since he was trying to push me out of it. I knew Chase stayed at his friends house. He had called and asked if he could since they were having a gaming marathon. I got out of bed and looked at Rascal.

"Fine. Let's go get food." I said and he jumped off the bed and ran down to the kitchen. I quickly fed him and started making me a bagel. I felt my phone vibrate in my shorts pocket and I pulled it out smiling when I saw who it was from.

>Hey, check your front door.< the message said. I walked to the front door and opened it to see a bouquet of colorful daisies and I smiled.

>I love them.< I sent to Chris. I then realized there was a card.

-Last night in the jeep was fun, but I was think we could maybe have a more official date...tomorrow night?- The card asked and I smiled.

>I would love to go out tomorrow night. Should I meet you somewhere?< I asked.

>Absolutely not. I'm picking you up.😊< Chris said and I smiled.

>What time?< I asked.

>6.< Chris said.

>And attire?< I asked and she smiled.

>You want a fancy date or something casual?< Chris asked and she smiled at how thoughtful he was being.

>Casual for sure.< I said.

>Perfect, see you at 6.< Chris sent. I smiled and then I felt my phone go off in my hand.

>Please tell me I am still allowed to kiss you tomorrow.< Chris said and I laughed.

>Of course you can Mr. Evans, I expect it.< I said.

I put my phone away and put the flowers on the kitchen table. I finished my bagel and sat to eat it and drink my coffee. I knew I needed to talk to Chase about my date with Chris, I knew he would most likely be happy but I just wanted him to know it was new and I wasn't sure where it was going.

The next night I was in my room getting ready when there was a knock on the bedroom door.

"Come in." I said going through some clothing options. I looked at saw Chase standing there.

"Hey. Everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah just making sure you are ready. He is going to be here soon." Chase said and smiled.

"I think you are more excited for this date than I am." I said.

"Mom, you are going out, not just with anyone, you are going out with Chris Evans." Chase said and I sighed.

"Okay first of all we aren't doing this Chase. I don't want you just accepting me dating because of who is he. I want to get to know Chris for more than being an actor and I want you to as well." I said and Chase nodded.

"I know and I'm trying." Chase said and I nodded.

"I know, maybe if Chris and I can figure somethings out we can all go out and do something so you get to know him." I said and Chas nodded.

"I would like that mom." Chase said.

"Now get out of here so I can get dressed." I said and he laughed leaving. I looked at my outfits and knew it was summer but I needed to dress casual and cool. I found a black denim shorts that hit mid-thigh and a mint green tank top that had small white polka dots on it. I pair it with some flip flops, Boston summers were no joke, super hot. I braided my hair and put on simply make up so it wasn't too heavy. Once I was done I headed downstairs and waited.

"I don't want you walking Rascal tonight since I wont be home. Maybe take him out back and just run him around." I said and Chase nodded.

"I know mom, I will. Can I go for a swim?" Chase said and I sighed.

"Please just be safe." I said and he nodded as there was a knock on the door.

"Well he is right on time, I will give him that." Chase said and I laughed.

"Bye. Be safe. Check in with me if you get in the pool and when you get out please." I said and he nodded. I opened the door and saw Chris is a pair of shorts, a red t-shirt and a Boston red sock ballcap and I smiled.

"You look amazing, even being casual." Chris said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said and he saw Chase standing further in the house.

"Hey Bud." Chris said and Chase smiled.

"Have her home at a decent hour." Chase said and I laughed shaking my head.

"I promise to have her home before midnight." Chris said and I looked at him shocked.

"Don't listen to my kid." I said and Chris laughed.

"I'll see you tonight." I said to Chase and walked out the house. I shut the door and we headed to the car Chris drove tonight.

"No jeep?" I asked with a smile as he opened my car door.

"Didn't need the temptation." Chris said and I laughed. Before I could get in the car Chris wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into him and kissed me. I smiled at him as I placed my hands on his chest.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Get in the car Sky." Chris said and let me go as I got in the car. After Chris got in he grabbed my hand as he drove and I was smiling. Once we pulled into the park lot at a mini gold course, I smiled at Chris.

"I love it!" I said excited and he smiled.

"I suck at regular golf but a master at mini golf." Chris said and I laughed as we got out of the car. Once Chris paid and we went on the course. We were actually tied halfway through and I was doing everything I could to mess with him to get him to screw up. When it was my turn to putt he came up behind me quickly, picked me up and spun me around as I squealed.

"Put me down!" I said laughing and he laughed.

"You try to mess with me I mess with you Sky." Chris said and I laughed. He put me down and spun me to face him.

"Give me a kiss and I will let you putt." Chris said and I thought about it and then laughed when he tickled my side.

"Okay!" I said and I placed my arms around his neck and pulled him down to me giving him a passionate kiss. Once we broke apart I lined up to take my putt and I felt his hands on my hips.

"Square your hips." He said right against me and I moaned.

"Not helping Evans." I said and he laughed. He let me go and I took my shot and got a hole in one. Chris looked at me shocked.

"HECK YEAH!" I said and started jumping up and down and I jumped up wrapping my arms around his neck and kissed him. I was riding the high from that the rest of the game. Once we finished and I actually won. Chris and I headed to the snack bar once we finished and got a couple burgers, fries and drinks. We sat at a table and I smiled.

"This has been perfect Chris, I love low key dates." I said and he took my hand that was sitting on the table.

"I just want to get to know you Sky. You are amazing. I know you have a past and I'm not trying to take your husbands place at all but I just would like it if you were able to find room in your heart for me too." Chris said and I smiled.

"Chris, I just need you to please give me time. It's coming up on a year." I said and he nodded.

"Whatever time you need you have." Chris said and I smiled.

"Thank you." I said and Chris leaned across the table and kissed me. I then looked at his hat.

"When do I get the Boston hat to hide my identity?" I asked and he laughed.

"You want one?" Chris asked and I laughed shaking my head.

"Nope, I'll take yours." I said taking it off his head and putting in on.

"Can I pull it off?" I asked. Chris laughed and leaned across the table able.

"Very cute." Chris said giving me a small kiss and taking it back. We laughed.
