Ivy's POV

"Now that you have seen your topic, do you have any questions?" I looked through my notes on Chinese customs and hoped it would be enough to last the 3 page requirement. One of the boys in the back asked when it was due, which we already went over in class yesterday. After a quiet chatter of rebelling over the assignment, the bell rang and I was out.

Megan came over for me to help her with math.n "So wait, where does the 2 come from?" "Because of the radical on the other side of the equation." "Right," She replied still noticeably lost. " You'll get it." "Okay. Break time," Megan said as she closed her textbook and looked at me with a big grin on her face. "Remember Dylan?" I had to rethink who he was. Megan unlike me has been in a handful of short relationships, but Dylan was the only boy she had liked since the 7th grade and was devastated when he didn't ask her to the 8th grade formal. "We are kinda dating," She said as she tried to contain her excitement. "Really?" I tried to look as excited as her. Iv'e been in elementary school relationships but nothing serious. "Yeah!" Megan squealed and hugged me. "I'm happy for you," I smiled and hugged her back. This relationship was going to be different from the rest, I could feel it.

I dropped off Megan home a few hours later and pulled back into the driveway and got out and locked my door. I read my Father's text message about the restaurants supply check tomorrow after school and then I felt a hand grab my shoulder and I turned around. "Hey, why have you been ignoring me?" I recognized the voice. "Because," I replied without giving an actual answer. "Because?" Miles repeated. I looked out the ground rather then at him. I told myself I wouldn't involve myself with Miles, and here he is in front of my house. "I save your life and you ignore me?" "I'm sorry, should I give you an award?" I was surprised by my own voice. Miles bit the bottom of his lip. "Whats wrong? This isn't the Ivy I remember." "You don't even know me!" I raised my voice. "Fine." Miles sighed. "I came to show you someplace. And without any argument, he took the keys out of my hand and we were on our way.
