Canary walked around the mansion halls looking for the silver-haired boy she was supposed to be watching. She called out his name as she looked under tables and in rooms. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't scared, to be honest, she's heard weird things about the boy; that he would talk to himself, jump every so often, or yell at the ceiling. And some people in the family have talked about feeling strange while around him like there was someone else with them... watching them. And the older brother, Milluki, was heard yelling at him one day, accusing Killua of stalking him or knocking down his figurines. And all Killua responded with was, "It wasn't me, it was Torne '' WHO THE HELL IS-"
She stopped searching when she saw something out of the corner of her eyes.
"Killua?" She called out.
No one was there but she swore she saw someone, it looked strangely like a black figure had run across the hallway.
She decided to search downstairs, she went over to the hall with stairs that lead to the second floor. There were at least 8 floors in total, 'these guys are richer than I'll ever be!' she thought.
She passed by a closet with an open door, as she walked by she noticed the light turn on inside. 'strange' she thought 'must be some sort of power malfunction.' She stopped again and looked down at her feet in confusion. 'Or maybe I'm just so paranoid that I'm hallucinating!' she turned back towards the closet and found the light off. 'I need to calm down.' She felt a sinking feeling in her stomach.
"Killua?" She called out again as she entered yet another room. Suddenly figures appeared everywhere, watching her. She felt a chill run down her spine, and her heartbeat quickened. She reached her hand up the wall and found the light switch. As soon as she did the 6-year old showed up in the corner from the light, staring at her. She also began to realize that all the figures were just toys hidden in the dark.
"HELL, SHIT-! Oh! Killua!" She yelled, nearly jumping out of her skin. " What are you doing here?" She asked him, her voice sweet and calming.
"Talking with my friends" He responded, eyes as big and innocent as a kitten.
' My God this kid is strange ' She thought as she got a little closer to him. "Your imaginary friends?"
"No, well... I don't think so, no one else seems to know they're ever with me. Whenever I introduce them to someone they call me silly or childish. But I know they're there, they tell me they protect me, even if they're a bit creepy looking-" he suddenly stopped talking and turned around wide-eyed.
"She won't tell anyone, I trust her." He reassured the wall, raising his hand to calm down whatever he was talking to.
"Oookay... I think it's time you say goodbye to your friends..." She told Killua as she took his hand and led him out the room. He looked back as he walked with her as if he saw someone... Naw! He's just pretending as a normal six-year-old would.
She reached up to turn off the light, hesitating for a moment she looked back into the room. 'There was nothing there, just toys and shelves.' She reassured herself, but even she felt eyes on her.
