Killua stood there, in the daycare bathroom staring at this.. creature, sitting like a perched bird on one of the toilet seats. Its legs were like a goat, its face covered in darkness from the black cloak that covered its body, like the mist of nightfall. It was pure black to the point that Killua could barely make out anything but its shape.

"What are you?" He tilted his head. His palms were sweaty in his jacket's pockets.

That's the first thing I remember from this weird power. The ability to somehow see things others can't. Ever since then I've found out things about the world that no one would've ever guessed were there, strange creatures hidden from humans, cryptid animal-like creatures that could speak. A demon that gave me cruel ideas (even though we get along), I've kept it a secret between myself and my little sister, Alluka. A couple of times, it almost slipped; like talking about a dead relative to someone without remembering they were dead, or people walking in on me talking to no one, and looking at me like I was insane.

They aren't evil, these creatures. They are like every other living thing on this earth but living in secret. I'm 17 now, and ever since I first saw that cryptid at the age of 4 I've never met one that was any different. At one time in my life, I decided to have a name for this power of mine, something that wasn't "the ability to see the abnormal". After a while, I had come up with the name Twisted Vision. Another thing that came with this power was abandonment from everyone around me, which I was ok with, at least I had the invisible beings as friends. One thing I hate about Twisted Vision was it also came with many nightmares and frights with the look and feel of a couple of these beings.

"Miss Bisky, I'm going outside!" Killua called out.
"Alright, just be back before the sun sets, I'm making dinner."

Miss Bisky was a nice caretaker Killua had when he was younger. His parents often had multiple people look after him and his siblings when they were off doing work, Killua barely kept in touch with them because of this.

Miss Bisky lived near the woods of this small town in this cottage, you just had to walk out the back to get into the woods. Killua would always go out there when he visited, to see what kind of weird creatures lived out there. There were times when he had to hide from a few beasts due to their unkindness.

Torne, Killua's demon, suddenly appeared beside him. Walking next to him, his red suit waving in no wind. He stood taller than Killua but could shrink to his liking.

"Would you leave me alone, I'm trying to explore without some annoying demon taunting me."

"It's not 'taunting', Kil. Ya always enjoy our conversations. It's jus' lately you been goin through a phase wher you think the whole world is against ya." He smiled to himself at the last part.

Killua climbed over a log as Torne walked through it as if it were nothing. His strongly built body morphs through it like smoke. Near a bundle of trees sat a lone doe, with a spirit of one beside it. Upon hearing Killua and Torne it stood up and fled, jumping swiftly through the bushes like a butterfly in the wind. The spirit doe glanced at them then stood up and disappeared through an unknown doorway.

As they walked further into the woods, more and more eyes of invisible beings glanced at them with curiosity. This is where Killua belonged, among things that didn't judge, didn't stare, didn't run; among things that treated him as if he were normal.

These creatures could fit into two categories; either they were small and posed no threat, or they were tall and terrifying and sent fear. Although these beings posed no threat to the young boy, some of them had disturbing attributes about them that sent zaps running down Killua's spine. Whenever this happened he had an urge to run, but he knew that just like a swarm of bees, these things got angry with fear, and would only chase you down.
